Why in the wheat fields?
Because there is no human being in tall wheat, especially at night. And if these pulsed microwaves are powerful enough to kill a bird or a hedgehog, it would be the same with a human being. So, these experiments, for what purpose? To one day kill men while pinning the blame on E.T.?
You know the Chinese proverb: "When a man points at the Moon the sage looks at the star and the fool looks at the finger." For twenty years the majority of people have asked themselves "why these shapes" and only a few have asked themselves how these could be made. The Mandelbrot set, the face in the wheat and more recently the E.T. face, all that is unimportant. What is important is what is behind it and admit that it is something.
When someone has determined the frequency of the carrier wave, that of the modulation, which act optimally on the nodes of the wheat, what will happen? At the limit one could even sell detectors tuned to this type of frequency. So will the Anglo-American military take the risk of pursuing "these interesting experiments"? A case to follow.
I come back to this after this digression on the theme of this dossier. Is a "meteorological weapon" conceivable? For a long time I too remained skeptical. But, since recently, since this contact with the HAARP project and its extensions I have reconsidered the question.
Very recently a radio listener recalled this affair of "mysterious luminous formations" observed in Norway (and that does not date from yesterday), phenomena that had mobilized an army of ufologists armed with cameras and camcorders. Now we learn that the Haarp project has ramifications... in that country. Aren't the pieces of the puzzle beginning little by little to come together? Let us begin with a digression concerning nuclear winter. The Earth receives on its illuminated face one and a half kilowatts of (solar) energy per square meter. That is enormous. When one extends this to regions covering hundreds of kilometers on a side one arrives, over the course of hours, of days, at extraordinary cumulative quantities of energy. This energy creates terrestrial meteorological phenomena. It creates the winds, the updrafts. Thanks to these the polluted air full of germs located near the ground is carried to altitude and sterilized by UV. You well know that "the air is healthier, in high mountains." It is even there that tuberculosis patients were sent, in the old days. This same solar energy causes the evaporation of water, and the whole cycle that follows, with the same sterilization phenomenon. Of course, there are violent phenomena, storms, cyclones, waterspouts. To this simple thermal energy corresponding to the air's capture of solar energy are mixed that linked to the evaporation and condensation of water (the "latent heat of vaporization" which feeds tropical cyclones with energy). I am not going to give a meteorology course here. But we are going to do the opposite. Let us explode a few thousand nuclear warheads in the northern hemisphere (which would have happened in case of a conflagration between East and West, before the collapse of the USSR). Carrying into the upper atmosphere of a billion tons of dust with an average diameter of one micron. All this was calculated, studied at the beginning of the 80s by my friend Vladimir Alexandrov, who lost his life in Madrid for having revealed what they did not want a vain people to know: the dangers of what he called nuclear winter and which took ten years to reach the public's ears.
At the time I tried to warn people. The media turned a deaf ear (except, for those who remember: L'Humanité!). Stupidity, short-sightedness, deafness of the journalistic world. No one concerned themselves with the assassination of this courageous man, in the Spanish capital, where he was abducted in the middle of the street in front of prostitutes who testified. A flawless job. Today Alexandrov must rest in a cement pillar, somewhere in the capital. At the time it was a "hot" affair. A member of the secret services (according to Gonzalez Matta, then a contributor to Actuel, a former member of the Spanish secret services, working for the magazine) was assassinated in turn in a city parking lot for having wanted to investigate too closely this disappearance. "Don't get near that, Matta had told us, it bites very hard." Subsequently the magazine Scientific American published a reassuring article and the unanimous scientific world agreed that Alexandrov had dramatized and that at most it would be a "nuclear autumn." It is a new digression but, excuse me, memories rise like bubbles from the bottom of a vase. At the time I had visited Stenchikov, Alexandrov's collaborator, in Moscow. He had continued this work and confirmed the values they had both found two years earlier, for example a drop in average temperature of 25°, an occultation of light by a factor of 400 (the light of the full Moon at noon). I wrote to the Americans sending them Stenchikov's latest publications. They replied to me.... that they were unaware of the existence of this work. Nonsense. Scientists had been paid by the military to "play down" this nuclear winter problem. It will be neither the first nor the last time that scientists lend a hand to the military to divert people's attention from a subject whose ins and outs the general public must continue to ignore. Incidentally, beyond the complicit scientists there are the journalists.
Why evoke this nuclear winter affair apropos of a possible climatic weapon? To illustrate a concept. The carrying into the stratosphere of fine particles, linked to the plumes of nuclear explosions, will deploy in a week a veil over the entire northern hemisphere that will prevent solar energy from reaching the surface of the ground. Later an atmospheric mixing will extinguish this cover over the entire planet. The situation will not become normal again until after 18 months? Why? Because it is the time it takes a particle one micron in diameter to descend back to the surface of the ground, simply because of air friction. The meteorological consequences are colossal. The Earth finds itself for these ten months deprived of an extraordinary quantity of joules. Do the calculation. The atmosphere becomes "superstable." Indeed, solar energy being stopped at altitude, this heats the mass of air located there which becomes hotter than that in contact with the ground. Hence: no more updrafts, no more continuous sterilization of the air by UV. The surface of the ground turns into a breeding ground. But we are not going to list the ills linked to nuclear winter (see the chapter devoted to it in "Les Enfants du Diable", Albin Michel 1995). What counts is that a phenomenon involving a colossal sum of energy would have been created by a nuclear war involving an energy a million times weaker. Put another way: with a "good nuclear war" and the relay ensured by this nuclear winter phenomenon one will create damage a million times greater than those that will result from the explosions themselves. We thus have an example of a destructive effect where the energy of the initial effector bears no common measure to the consequences that will result from it.
When one thinks "weapon," one thinks "bomb." A chemical bomb possesses a certain destructive potential. It takes so many kilos of TNT to destroy a house, a bunker, etc.... If now one envisages the emergence of a climatic weapon one could envisage that the destructive effects could be without common measure to the modesty (energetic) of the phenomenon used to engender them. One then thinks of an action on the ionosphere. We have seen (project Haarp ) that by using HF at 60 megahertz one could attack the ionosphere at 280 km altitude and heat it. At such an altitude its temperature is 1400°. One reads that Haarp can increase this temperature by 20 to 30% but without ionizing. Under these conditions this ionized air will expand. Its density will locally diminish. The ionosphere is a plasma, which absorbs and reflects electromagnetic waves, thus plays an important role in the control of solar energy that will reach the lower layers of the atmosphere. If one locally decreases the density of this plasma, it will be more transparent and in that region the temperature of the air located below will increase.
Conversely, with HF, one can ionize the air. There will be no need to maintain this emission. A significant pulse, a good blast of HF, will tear electrons from the atoms. In time there will be recombination. The recombination time depends on the density of the air. It will take longer in rarefied air. One can maintain a high degree of ionization by periodically relaunching the process with a new HF pulse. This "non-thermal" ionization (that is the established term) will not be accompanied by a heating of the air. So the latter will not expand, as previously. You doubt it? Put your hand on a neon tube. It contains a rarefied gas, is the seat of a "non-thermal ionization" but the neon atoms form a gas that remains at ordinary temperature. The neon stays cold. It is the "electron gas" that is very hot. But it contains only very little energy. Why? Because the electrons are light and the heat of a gas is the measure of the "kinetic energy of thermal agitation" of its constituents. The plasma of the neon tube is "bi-temperature."
Ionized air reflects electromagnetic waves. Above a region one could thus deploy not a screen, but a mirror (invisible from the ground). The machinery is then in place. In the vicinity of one region of the Earth a "hole" has been created in the ionosphere that allows solar energy to heat the air near the ground, on the other a plasma mirror has been deployed that allows a region hundreds of kilometers away to lower in temperature. There remains only to wait for the storm to rise. By proceeding more subtly one can control precipitation, create floods or on the contrary implacable droughts.
Climate control could, in the long run, make it possible to defuse catastrophic processes detected prematurely or attenuate a phenomenon that could be very concentrated in time by "diluting" it (both in space and in time). A catastrophic flood, ravaging a region in a few hours could be converted into a shower good for crops, spread over several days. Incidentally one sees that climate control actions, intended to stabilize the climate in a region could lead to catastrophic consequences thousands of kilometers away, "at the neighbors'." A management of the climate by technology could only be planetary.
Before envisaging things from this angle it is above all an extraordinarily effective weapon simply because the man or the country that triggers this lightning from the sky can remain in the shadows.
Personally I think, given the age of this research, that already very significant results could already have been obtained and that the planet could have turned into a testing ground for climatic weapons. A reader reminded me of that tornado that had devastated France in 99, I believe. What had been astonishing was that there had been not one phenomenon, but two successive ones. Simple remark.
In fact, one would doubtless be astonished at the simplicity of implementation of such systems. It is perhaps easier to "deploy" than one believes. The fact is that it is not a "muscular" action but a continuous action over hours or even days. We have seen in a dossier that a mass of ionized gas was created with two beams of microwaves of different frequencies that are made to cross and that the ionization then manifested in the crossing zone where the "beat" is felt by the gaseous mass. A mirror of ionized gas could thus be created by two ships cruising near a coast. As for the "hole" in the ionosphere it can be created by combining a microwave emission and the constitution of a plasma mirror. See the Haarp dossier.
Where are we on that front? Clever is he who could say. We have seen that it was quite possible that the Anglo-Americans have been testing weapons (very lethal ones, those) for more than twenty years in ... the English countryside. Who tells us that the increase in the frequency of meteorological phenomena would not be due to tests of climatic weapons with a view to their "qualification"?
Numerous readers are asking questions. One can also wonder whether all these discussions concerning the greenhouse effect with its effects on the climate, the ozone layer problem, etc., are not "screen-preoccupations" intended to divert people's interest toward effects of climatic weapons that would be... operational for a long time. Frankly, one can imagine anything, including that these climatic weapons could be used to exert blackmail on the leaders of a country, those who employ them saying "we are going to create damage in your country until you do what we ask, but you will be able to prove nothing."

Translation in plain terms: We know that all this works since we have been experimenting with it for a long time. The technological means to implement remain affordable and without common measure to an effort of nuclearization.
One will note the mention of earthquakes and the triggering of volcanic eruptions. That may seem crazy, but ultimately a minimal cause, well localized, can engender a cataclysm if the latter is ready to trigger. Earthquakes are linked to plate slips, along faults. One knows that an earthquake will inevitably occur along the San Andreas fault, in California and that its effects will be devastating. One does not know when this will happen, which also amounts to saying that one does not know a priori the energy that would suffice to trigger the phenomenon. The closer the snap and the weaker this energy will be. The technique makes it possible to act in the deep layers of the ground with electromagnetic waves. The Russians had built an enormous generator called "Pamir" in the seventies, of which I had seen photos in 1983 in Chicago, during an MHD congress, which could be transformed onto a large truck. It was one of the n variants of the Sakharov generator, with flux compression. This one had the shape of a camembert box six meters in diameter. This system made it possible to circulate strong electric currents in the ground. Officially the device was presented as a system for analyzing the situation of a terrain by measuring over great distances and at great depth the electrical conductivity of the ground. We now know that a variation of this conductivity is the sign of the imminence of an earthquake. I had in 83 discussed in Chicago with the Russian managers of this project, former students of Velikhov, himself a student of Sakharov. I realize today that such a system could make it possible not only to study the pre-seismic situation of a terrain but eventually to trigger the earthquake. Thus "the geophysical study" constituted the "screen-project" hiding the true purpose of this technology, unimaginable by a non-specialist.
Physically speaking these systems allow energy transfers. The starting energy remains that of the explosive that feeds the Pamir generator. This system makes it possible to transport by this means, via electromagnetic waves, a part of this energy to great depth. If the fault is not ready to give, significant energy would be needed to trigger the earthquake. The system, used in moderation, can make it possible to test the terrain, a little as when you give light impulses on blocks in equilibrium to see if they are ready to slide into a ravine. Military-geophysicists can thus secretly locate throughout the world, in potentially "hostile" territories or those "to be brought to heel," "sensitive regions" where a more muscular action could trigger a devastating earthquake.
Same remark concerning volcanism. The philosophy is the same: bring energy to depth. There, one thinks of a sort of underground HAARP. Instead of using a pulsed generator like Pamir one would carry out a continuous action with microwaves pulsed at very low frequency whose energy would be absorbed by the underlying magma. By targeting a precise point one could provoke an increase in temperature, over the course of hours or days and trigger convection, the catastrophic rise of a "magma bubble." If the Secretary of Defense William Cohen pronounced these words it is because he had excellent reasons to think that all this was feasible. Add that if the explosive is nuclear or more simply constituted by a small charge of antimatter (which it is thought the Americans now know how to produce massively, by MHD compression, since the beginning of the eighties) the effect produced would have a much greater intensity.
These technologies, ultimately, could prove less complicated to develop than isotopic separation which constitutes a barrier against nuclear proliferation (which has not prevented Israel, India and Pakistan from joining the "club"). Same for the synthesis of antimatter by compression. I personally think that the key to the development of these "post-nuclear" weapons lies in the possession of good superconducting materials whose manufacturing secrets the Americans hold for the moment. But for how long?
This remark thus emanates from the American Secretary of Defense. By terrorism is meant actions carried out by "Rogue States." In fact, the non-terrorist is the strongest, "terrorism" being reserved for the weakest. If the Powerful States do not practice classic terrorism it is because they do not need it. But we have seen (project HAARP) that manipulations emanating from powerful states could be comparable to a secret terrorism. If the term "Rogue State" has made its way others would be needed, such as:
- Cop-State
- Boss-State - Taxpayer State (taxable and corvéable at will) - Guru-State
The cop-state, that is America. It is a secret for no one. The Europeans are only the vassals of this powerful suzerain. A few centuries ago the Papal States played very effectively the role of "Guru-State." Despite a certain numerical and military weakness the papacy could influence European history with threats of excommunications or blessings and various investitures that would make everyone laugh nowadays. Never would a pope venture to attempt to use the "excommunication" weapon, completely obsolete. On the other hand one sees that the United States (for internal use, it only works at home for the moment) do not hesitate to brandish the theme of a "Crusade against Evil" (God bless America, etc). On the other side of the Atlantic certain regions possess a density of Mullahs per hectare sufficient to influence, more or less, the course of things. It is a great pity that Muhammad by presenting himself as the last prophet closed the door to this political solution. Nowadays a good Muslim prophet would be a hit, on such a fermented soil. But the Koran forbids such an emergence. That being said one feels that Islam dreams of following a leader, like Bin Laden. But modern technologies mean that this one can only be an underground guru, an underground guru, for obvious reasons of survival. It is less glorious than galvanizing crowds, at the top of a hill, astride a fine white steed. There remain the video cassettes, while waiting for the Americans, annoyed, to decide to treat the Arabsat satellite and the Al Jazeera channel with a good blast of microwaves. That is hanging over them like a two-euro whistle.
Why did Saddam Hussein not use the bacteriological weapon, in the form of attacks (poisoning of drinking water in large Western cities) when it was known at the time that his commandos were already in place. Doubtless because J.R. Ewing is not the average European. The Westerners (at least some of them) knew that these threats existed, capable of causing tens of thousands of deaths. Perhaps emissaries, through intermediaries, slipped into Saddam's ear something like:
- Coco, if you do that, we raze Baghdad with an H-bomb, got it? And no one will go protest.
Go figure what is being played out at the moment with these threats of large-scale bacteriological attacks. The media may repeat to you at length that these weapons are not so easy to use, the fact remains that in hot weather a bacterium can reproduce at a hallucinatory speed and wreak havoc if its action passes through a latency time, an incubation of the disease. You should know that the pilgrimage to Mecca is "one of the five pillars of Islam." It is written in the Koran. Why should it always be the same ones who get hit? What would happen if Mecca were one day nothing but a desert expanse? Do you imagine the Ben Laden family, great architect of Mecca, picking up one by one the fragments of the black stone to glue it back together. Toward what would Muslims turn to pray? The caves of Al Qaeda or "Ground Zero"?
I like political fiction, in all its forms. Imagine that the Americans, possessing a fantastic technological lead, and such is the case, spot a small asteroid a few tens of meters in diameter, quietly installed in its orbit around the Sun and that they modify its trajectory by pushing on it, on the sly. A response to the Twin Towers attack, moreover without killing anyone. One day the media announce: "An asteroid is heading straight for Mecca. Pilgrims are asked to clear out in a hurry." Muslims are terribly superstitious. How to prove that this asteroid would have been "manipulated"? You may know that the Kaaba was a place where pre-Islamic peoples stored their idols, that the famous black stone existed well before Muhammad came into the world. If Islam represents a definitive orthodoxy, then its great ritual schemas pass through a hell of a recuperation of an earlier paganism (against which Muhammad had not judged it good to oppose). Christians did no better: the croziers of bishops are nothing other than the staffs of Roman augurs.
I tell you: we are living in a fascinating era.
Another remark: the passage near the Earth of an iron asteroid, supernova debris, endowed with a very strong magnetic field. Supernovae, just before their brutal end, possess a central core constituted of iron, linked to a magnetic field of very high intensity, difficult to quantify. The sun was born in a cluster of a few hundred stars that dispersed in a few tens of millions of years. Let us say 50 million years. The massive stars (20 solar masses) ejected the small ones by slingshot effect. Along the way these massive stars had time to turn into supernovae, thus to explode, before the cluster was dispersed. They thus populated it with heavy elements (of which we are constituted). If certain supernovae can give birth by compression to residues in the form of neutron stars it is quite possible that in other cases the compression is not symmetrical enough to ensure the transformation of the iron core into a mass of neutrons in contact. The core would then have been dislocated. I have on the table a mini-meteorite the size of a peanut that doubtless once inhabited the heart of a giant star and constitutes today a tiny fragment resulting from the disintegration of that one. No one can prejudge the size of the fragments. On Earth some have landed that had respectable sizes (thus the one that gave birth to "meteor crater" in Arizona). It is quite possible that larger ones could exist, ejected far from the sun (thus then undetectable, but in final approach phase since unlike comets they do not outgas). Imagine that a supernova fragment the size of Phobos passes near the Earth, without hitting it. It would sweep it with its magnetic field. This one would then be capable of acting on the terrestrial field to the point of making it flip, of reversing it. The successive inversions of the terrestrial magnetic field, observed by measurement of the paleomagnetism of lavas perhaps comes from there.
Likewise physicists are always incapable of explaining "the sufficient reason" (as professor Pangloss would say) for the presence of a terrestrial field (0.4 gauss, if my memories are exact). For decades people have spoken of the "Dynamo effect" without ever having been able to model the phenomenon or simulate it, including numerically. Another origin would consist simply in telling oneself that this field preexisted in the block of iron, the size of Mars, that struck the Earth giving birth to the Moon. The theory of the Dynamo effect is a "Shaddock" theory (why do simple when one can do complicated).
Let us return to this story of a metallic asteroid that does not strike the Earth, but grazes it closely enough. Not only can it reverse its magnetic field, the new field being "remanent" but it can, at the moment of its passage, create Laplace forces within the terrestrial magma. Even if these forces are not intense enough to appreciably modify the shape of our geoid they can be sufficient to trigger earthquakes, volcanism and even phenomena of even greater magnitude such as surgings or collapses of portions of the Earth's crust. Salt water is also conductive of electricity. Within it the Laplace forces would create fluid currents. One can imagine that this asteroid could thus provoke the end of civilizations, like that of an "Atlantis." I do not like these scientists who seek to reduce everything, to pass everything through their intellectual grinder imagining that they know everything about everything. Our past remains very mysterious. It is only very recently that our astrophysicists have only envisaged that the sun could have been born in a cluster (Article by Serge Jodra: "Where have the Sun's sisters gone?" in Ciel et espace of &&& , give me the references of the issue). Before, astrophysicists thought that the sun was born in isolation. But in science, everything proceeds by "catastrophes" (from kata, beside, and strophedein, the furrow). Scientific discourse resembles a record. From time to time an event causes the turntable arm to jump, to change furrow. One discourse is then abruptly interrupted so that another follows, which eventually has nothing to do with the previous one.
Scientific discourse is in fact a discourse of the religious type. Science has its priests, its Panglosses, like Hubert Reeves, great dispenser of stardust, like a modern sandman. His sentences begin with "it is thought that..." and for whoever knows how to follow discourses over long spans of time, they evolve, they too. You have doubtless heard the scientist say "that the myth of Atlantis" is simply linked to the explosion of the volcano of Santorini, in the Greek islands. I went there. Effectively it must have been something. The tidal wave that resulted perhaps pulverized a few coastal civilizations. Plato perhaps also simply fabulated. Unless it is a matter of the effect of the passage of this iron asteroid evoked above. Note one thing in passing. Suppose that this asteroid passes a thousand kilometers from the surface of the Earth. It would provoke no phenomenon of the tidal type. It would be too small, too little massive, although tidal effects are in 1/r3. Not grazing our atmosphere it would create no aerological phenomenon (if not the one that would be due to a powerful mixing of our ionosphere by Laplace forces, because that one is ionized). Insofar as this asteroid would not outgas (comets reveal themselves above all by their "coma") it would even be possible that no one would notice it. And yet it would perhaps have been capable of provoking in one night the engulfment of an entire continent, that "of the Atlanteans."
There exists another thesis apropos of the disappearance of an ancient civilization, due to a guy whose name I have forgotten and whose book passed totally unnoticed. There exists between England and Norway a vast bank, where the depth is less than 30 meters in places, I believe. It is "Dogger Bank." Glaciations not only lower the level of the oceans, but raise the ocean floors in the vicinity of glacial barriers. It is like when you press in one place on a foam mattress. This slightly raises the neighboring part. When the ice melts, the glacier retreats. The sea level rises and the ocean floor sinks. There could have existed a civilization living in the Iron Age that would have clung to what has now become "Dogger Bank" making it a... polder. When it is a matter of preserving a territory, tens of thousands of men can work for centuries to build dikes thirty meters high. All the more so since the sinking was progressive. The works could have begun from prehistoric times, from in fact the end of that glaciation. And then one day an exceptional storm breaks the dam. In one night everything is engulfed. The following storms will complete the work. A few centuries later nothing will remain of a civilization that could have been flourishing and perhaps constituting those who were called "the Sea Peoples" and who caused serious trouble to Egypt at a certain time. Peoples very advanced in matters of navigation, with keeled ships, mastering iron (whereas the Egyptians, attacked, had only their bronze swords to face them). There are perhaps fabulous things to discover by carrying out core samplings in the bottom of Dogger Bank. One finds indeed masses of mammoth bones off Denmark, which date from the time when these plains were still emerged.
