Art and Technique

Whenever one develops an artistic activity, no matter what kind, there is always a technique involved. Personally, I've practiced many of them. I even taught in the USA, in Burlington, where I taught basket weaving, jewelry making, and molding during the 1960s. At the École des Beaux-Arts in Aix-en-Provence, I was a sculpture teacher for several years when my friend Jacques Boullier, known as Vasselin, was in charge of the school. Before that, I worked as a copper engraver, and at the same time, a lithographer. Therefore, in this section, I've decided to discuss various techniques, some of which are now disappearing (for example, lithography). Along the way, I'll also mention certain lesser-known and rather unusual artistic activities, even though I haven't personally practiced them.
