My Father Has Too Much Imagination
My father has too much imagination
His mind is always wandering
He always seems lost among the stars
Like he doesn’t belong to this world
Dad, please pay some attention to me
Dad, come and make a round with me
You see how busy he is
Searching for his pair of glasses
Which are simply resting on his nose
Now he’s already grumbling
A dad like that needs constant supervision
One day he’ll lose his head
He spends his time inventing
Things that really aren’t ordinary at all
I assure you, it’s no easy feat
Having him as a father
And in his head there’s always a little bicycle spinning around
He’s like a real whirlwind
Dad flies just like the birds
From time to time, he takes to the air
Instead of playing golf or riding a bike
Like ordinary dads do
No, he has to fly, he has to go very high
And this man is my father
He works on strange messages
That come to him from another planet
I don’t understand any of it; I find it very complicated
Things that can drive you crazy
Yet Dad seems to be having lots of fun
While everyone else is bored
But I know he loves me with all his heart
I’m his daughter; he’s my father
And I’ll fly with him—I’m not afraid
We’ll travel around the world
Together we’ll find the path to happiness
We’ll make a round
