Chronicle of September 21, 2010
Yes, I have been quiet for a while. But there is so much to say. One doesn't know where to start.
I need to write letters to Journalists Alain Cirou (editor-in-chief of Ciel et Espace), Philippe Chambon (science and life, author with Marseille Castellot and Isabelle Blanc of a book "The Extraterrestrial Language", on the Ummo case in 1990). And also Yves Calvi, who in his show C dans l'air on September 3rd debated the question: can one make an atomic bomb in a garage? (...).
http://www.france5.fr/c-dans-l-air/index-fr.php?page=resume&id_rubrique=1523

We would have had our place in this show. Indeed, the activities of UFO-science would have raised the question:
*- Can one carry out experimental research in a garage that can then be presented at an international scientific conference? *
One could even say:
*- Can one carry out quality research on bitemperature plasmas, which are not only the best, but ... the only ones, in the sector addressed? *
Whether it is Yves Calvi, host of the show, or Alain Cirou, present on the set, editor-in-chief of Ciel et Espace:

Alain Cirou, editor-in-chief of the magazine Ciel et Espace, in 2007, in a show C dans l'air,
facing Jacques Patenet, who was at that time in charge of GEIPAN (now Yvan Blanc )
http://www.ufo-science.com/wpf/?page_id=874
or Philippe Chambon, journalist at Science et Vie, author in 1990, with Martine Castellot and Isabelle Blanc, at Robert Laffont, of a book titled "Ummo, the Extraterrestrial Language", none of them ignore our existence and our work.

Philippe Chambon, journalist at Science et Vie
Inviting Petit in this show? Chambon, Cirou and Calvi don't want trouble....
A month before the "Astronomy - Space - UFO File" conference [ /fr/article/colloque_strasbourg-colloque_strasbourg_27_7_10html ], it remains a complete media blackout. Michel Padrines, the organizer, was supposed to invite scientific journalists to this conference, our association UFO-science having declared itself ready to cover their travel and stay, and among them Cirou and Chambon would have been the first guests. This was not done, but the health condition of Padrines (cancer and metastases) is the cause. We are ourselves a bit tired of fighting against these "windmills".
There are still some good news:
- Claude Nicollier, the well-known Swiss astronaut, confirmed his attendance. See the conference program.
*- We will be able to sell adhesive network caps, made in China. We have received a satisfactory quality prototype and we will send it to Yvan Blanc, by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt, and in addition we will provide the address of the Chinese manufacturer. *

Our goal is not to make money with this product, but to promote its maximum diffusion, and we count on the CNES service to take over.
- A less good news: the 200 seats in the room where the UFO-science team will intervene, on Saturday, October 16th, from 6pm to midnight, have been rented for a long time. Too complicated, too expensive and too risky to try to get a larger room. Therefore, those who would still like to attend our presentations will not be able to enter. Security services will oppose any additional entry. But everything will be filmed, recorded and put on the net very quickly, and one can follow these presentations without spending a penny.

One can expect, on the other hand, that Yves Calvi, Alain Cirou and Philippe Chambon "serve the soup" by saving the GEIPAN from ridicule at the last minute, by mentioning for example a "close collaboration between the CNES service and the Norwegian Hessdalen station", to create the illusion, while this "collaboration" is the work of the retired general engineer, Christian Nazet, retired, mobilizing colleagues from the CEA "to install sensors". Meanwhile Yvan Blanc haunts the ufological dinners of the hexagon.
What to do in the face of this scandalous complicity of the press? Continue, with four of us (...), our work, in the 9 square meters of our garage in Rochefort, which already leads to a large international MHD conference in Korea, from October 10 to 13, 2010, with an oral presentation of a scientific communication. It is in this same garage that a hypersonic wind tunnel will be built, with the money of my readers (...), thanks to which the key experiment of the science-UFO link will be realized: the annihilation of shock waves and turbulence around a model immersed in a hypersonic gas flow, after 35 years of struggle in "institutional circuits". These works will continue, faith of JP PETIT, by the implementation of a demonstrator of the American Aurora device, whose hypersonic air intake is controlled by MHD. On his side, Mathieu Ader, 25 years old, will carry out tests in a model basin (always in a garage!) of hypervelocity hydrodynamics, something the army services are completely incapable of carrying out, due to lack of skills, which will constitute "defense secrets near you". The French secret services, the DGSE (Délégation Générale des Services d'action Extérieure), had the nickname of
The Pool
One day, when one wants to mention researches closely related to national defense, one will have to use the word:
- The Garage....*
This absurd situation will continue as long as one continues (for 35 years!) to want to have crucial research for the future of the human species managed by an ignorant and incompetent army.
*- After the conference I will write a new book which will be printed at the expense of UFO-science and sold in favor of the association. This will in principle allow us to "refill the tank". The test bench cost 15,000 euros. The Korean conference costs 5000 (1300 euros per person for registration, plus travel, hotel, for Doré and me). We will need some money (small sums compared to those wasted daily in projects like Megajoule, Iter, etc.) to build our hypersonic wind tunnel. *
I think of a video found on the net and which mentions UFOs filmed in flight by Mig 23s. Here is an image where the pilot sees a cylindrical object, speeding at supersonic speed, at Mach three.

( According to a reader, this dashboard should rather be that of an American aircraft, but what matters is the object )
A cylinder flying at Mach 3, without making a shock wave or turbulence, or a shock wave, we know how to do that. The model is even presented on page 11 of my communication at the Bremen conference, 2009:

For those who are curious, here is the link to the Bremen communication, 19 pages.
Communication at the Bremen conference, October 2009 ( where I had gone in a wheelchair )../science/mhd/breme_2009_short.pdf

J.P.PETIT at the International Conference on Hypersonic Aerodynamics, October 2009
I will also have to go to the Korean and Strasbourg conferences with a wheelchair (11 hours of flight for Korea). Subject to ambient pressure, I finally pushed a glider in a hangar of the Vinon Center, to store it after use. A gesture that is medically strictly forbidden. I had already been lucky to recover a semblance of health after six months in the pool, daily. We were only two who could maneuver it. Instead of calling for help, I made the mistake of giving a hand. It didn't go well. Now I'm out of commission for at least three months. What a mistake! But it's done, it's done. My wife emptied and cleaned the aquagym pool, the only effective treatment. Unfortunately, when we tried to heat it, everything exploded. We have to call an electrician.
Doré is already preparing another experiment, completely different. We are also studying the way we will bury the vacuum capacity, in the basement, to create a hypersonic wind tunnel: a big can where we will make a simple vacuum. Let's say a torr. Then we will connect this vacuum capacity with a Laval nozzle, using a fast opening valve, which will create a hypersonic flow in low density, equivalent to what is found at altitudes between 30 and 80 km. There we will test different MHD models for periods of a second, which is more than enough. There is no need to prolong an experiment longer than necessary.
The range of tests in this wind tunnel will be wide. Cylindrical, disc-shaped, with or without controlled ionization by HF. Thinking back to Yves Calvi's show, I think he could title a future show:
*- Can one carry out research in a garage that should be covered by defense secrets? *
That's where we'll be soon. I even have a demonstrator of MHD-controlled air intakes, the key to the secret American Aurora. On his side, Mathieu Ader has moved to be able to have, himself, a garage. Finally, the key to research is the garage. There he will install a test bench for hypervelocity underwater vehicles, with half a tesla magnets.
We could have done all these things thirty years ago. There are several responsible parties. The polytechnician Alain Esterle and the engineer Bernard Zappoli were the underlings, the authors of this mess that led to the collapse of all MHD research in France.

Note the spelling mistake on the sheet where he now presents himself as a consultant. He should have written "Engineer"
The second fool is the engineer Bernard Zappoli, his assistant, who continues a peaceful career at CNES, praising the merits of the International Space Station. It is likely that his colleagues do not know the corpse in his closet, for thirty years. We will remind him a little of his memory, with documents in hand (including a report signed by his hand, where he displays his incompetence and errors on a hundred pages).
A scientific plundering attempt in good and proper form where he and Esterle completely failed. To cover up the matter, summoned by Curien, René Pellat pronounced the dissolution of GEPAN. It is told in the book by Vélasco.

Bernard Zappoli, engineer at CNES, giving a lecture on microgravity
When I have time, I will take up all these old stories from thirty years ago. It's not about settling accounts, but simply to point out the foolish responsible for the collapse (now irreversible) of an entire area of French research, that is to say, a MHD that had a nice start.
Research in this garage in Rochefort will continue. From all sides I receive messages, including from specialists, who tell me "it's fantastic what you're doing in this small room, with so few means!". Indeed, but it will never go far. Because I'm too old and Doré only has a BTS (Brevet Tetchnique Supérieur). How to rebuild MHD research after thirty years of complete void? How to build the pyramid of overpaid polytechnicians, indispensable to the start of any "decent" project? It's doomed, that's all. By conducting these researches in this garage we will only manage to ridicule France, which is already the case in international conferences where I hear:
*- How come someone of your stature is reduced to working in a garage with kids? *
Yes, after all the presentations we will make, we will show our working conditions, which are absurd. Doré makes his parts himself on a lathe intended to build ... scale models. Cost of the machining bench, 800 euros!
There are many things to say, on many subjects, but I'm a bit tired. I reproduce here the scan sent by a reader, of a page from Science et Avenir of July 2010:

In this page, a contradiction. The author, Olivier Hertel, announces Mach 5 for two hundred seconds, but in the box, Laurent Serre, in charge of hypersonic development at the French National Office for Aeronautical Research, talks about a speed that is actually ... double (Mach 10). Read:

For many years now, I have been saying and repeating that the Americans are making us take bags for lanterns, by showing images that are thirty years old and presenting them as current. All this to hide the existence of their hypersonic Aurora, which has been flying for ... twenty years. All this is only possible by using MHD to control the air intake, replacing heating with the production of electrical energy, which is then used to accelerate the burned gases (MHD bypass system).
The best way to support this argument will be to reconstitute all of this on a ten-centimeter-long model. Electric discharge, magnetic field: capacitor discharges, controlled by ignitrons. We will measure heat flows with metal films, deposited under vacuum, with very short response times. Lift? Drag: piezo sensors. We may even be able to burn methane or hydrogen in the combustion chamber.
Defense secrets near you
Yes, it is the army that has paralyzed many researches for decades.
Personally, I don't care if France is ten years behind or ahead of other countries in terms of arms. But what I can tell you is that our research is poorly managed, in the hands of "entrepreneur researchers" who only aim for the funding. They take politicians from lab to lab and make them take bags for lanterns. This gives ITER, Megajoule.
The ARTE channel, under the title "Building the future", presented a film by Jacques Bedel evoking the three possible filières in terms of fusion:
- The Z-machine
- ITER
- Megajoule
The video illustrates the way journalists can be led astray, thinking they have witnessed something, lived an event. Those who saw this show will remember the fever preceding a "shot". On the Megajoule website, a "laser shot" is carried out. At Cadarache, as ITER is currently a vast portion of land, we are taken to "tore-supra", where a "shot" is still carried out.
Same show at Sandia.
- Phase four... finished..... go to phase three ....
etc....
In the end, it is learned that "the shot was successful".
An "experiment", it's not "sellable", a "shot", it's more chic.
An engineer, playing the role of a popularizer, shows, using a film made with computer graphics, a cage of wires trying to compress a sphere with difficulty. And he doubles his "explanation" by showing how difficult it is to compress a balloon with one hand. There is always a part that escapes.
When I see these images, I jump out of my seat. In the Z-machine, it's not like that. These people are completely mocking the journalists, who are completely unable to realize it. They film the hand, the balloon. There is no one to say:
*- Hey, buddy, have you finished making us look like fools? *
Our investigative journalists come back, happy. They have taken nice images, made a rich dossier. They have filmed heavy doors closing with a powerful clack! (It makes very well, the doors closing, especially when you also specify that "all safety measures have been taken"). They have attended a "shot", lived the event. What event? That, mystery. What progress, towards what goal? We will not know more. But the journalists come back with stars in their eyes and ideas of suns in test tubes. And it has been going on for thirty years. In my comic book Big Bang I called it "ploutophysique", from ploutos, in Greek, which means "rich".
September 26, 2010
: Jean Bedel, director of the film, strongly protested against my criticism of his investigation and asked that I publish his protest letter. I said "OK, but I can then put online the entire show and show, frame by frame, how unfortunately you were led astray by
the experts
to whom, in the end, you serve the soup and how, with regard to Sandia, these people have, in a literal sense, made you take a bag for a lantern ".
Work for me. I believe Bedel when he denies being complicit, so his ignorance and naivety are without limits, although it may be a very decent person. But the result, with the viewer, is the spread of false, manipulated images.
We will do it again properly, since I can comment on the film.
**September 26: **a dossier, posted on Agoravox, which is worth watching. Our "irresponsible" ones are quite dumb enough to concoct projects of this kind. You will see the micro-pavements, testifying to the complete ignorance of people. The theme: the installation of mini "civil" nuclear reactors in urban areas.
It is perfectly true that "civilized" versions of submarine nuclear reactors have been experimented with in different parts of the world, including in the French Sahara. It was in this case a mini power plant located in the middle of the desert at ... Tamanrasset, where I had been in the 1970s. It was an American reactor.
We find the myth of the frog that bathes in a bath whose temperature rises ... slowly and one day ends up completely cooked. Unless all the frogs in the world decide to say "STOP!".

I'm updating; The World of September 24, 2010. Following the contestation of the official version of the events of September 11 at the UN podium, all the delegations, including France, left the room, indignant.
A reason more to atomize Iran Ahmadinejad in a conspiracy theory. The Iranian president presented Thursday at the UN his beliefs on a "conspiracy" by the Americans in the September 11 attacks, causing the immediate departure of the delegations of the United States and the European Union from the room.
The Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad spoke Thursday before the UN General Assembly on a "conspiracy" by the Americans in the September 11, 2001 attacks, causing the immediate departure of the delegations of the United States and the European Union from the room.
The United States immediately qualified these remarks as "despicable".
Referring to the September 11 attacks that killed some 3,000 people in 2001, Mr. Ahmadinejad said: "some elements within the American government orchestrated the attack to reverse the decline of the American economy and its influence in the Middle East in order to save the Zionist regime".
"The majority of the American people as well as other nations and politicians agree with this point of view," he added.
Speaking of another theory on the attack, the Iranian president added that it had "been carried out by a terrorist group but the American government supported it and took advantage of this situation".
He cited a third theory: "a very powerful and complex terrorist group, capable of successfully passing through all layers of American intelligence and security systems, committed the attack".
"This is the main point of view promoted by American leaders," he said.
"Rather than representing the aspirations and goodwill of the Iranian people, Mr. Ahmadinejad has once again chosen to rant about vile conspiracy theories and antisemitic remarks that are despicable and delusional," said Mark Kornblau, spokesperson for the American mission at the UN.
A European diplomat explained that the European delegations had left the room in solidarity with the United States.
The remarks of Mr. Ahmadinejad constitute "an insult to the General Assembly and the truth," said a French diplomat to AFP.
The head of Canadian diplomacy, Lawrence Cannon, estimated that the president's remarks were "unacceptable" and that they "represent a destabilizing threat for the region and the world". The Canadian delegation also left the room during the president's speech.
Shortly after the September 11 attacks, "a propaganda machine was put into action," also declared Ahmadinejad.
"It was said that the whole world was exposed to a huge danger, namely terrorism, and that the only way to save the world was to deploy forces in Afghanistan," he added. "In the end, Afghanistan, and shortly after Iraq, were occupied".
"It was said that some 3,000 people were killed on September 11 and we are all very sad about it. However, so far, hundreds of thousands of people have been killed in Afghanistan and Iraq, millions injured and displaced and the conflict is still expanding," he added.
Previously, the Iranian president spoke about the resurgence of colonialism and the rearmament in the world since the end of World War II.
"Instead of disarmament, the proliferation and accumulation of nuclear, biological and chemical weapons have spread, placing the world under a greater threat. The result is that the same goals of colonizers and slave traders have been pursued with a new face," he insisted.

In Rochefort, when Doré completed the first experiment, it worked on the first try. It's so relaxing when it works. Doré said to me:
*- And now, what do I do? *
*- We move on to another experiment. There, it's over. We have what we wanted. *
In fact, it's strange, when I think about it, the experiments I have done have always worked on the first try. I remember the first one, in 1965 or 1966, I think. We had an MHD generator, which I decided to operate "out of equilibrium", with a gas jet that was "only" 6000° (instead of 10,000). In the Faraday cage resembling a chicken coop, the fellow researchers had calibrated their recorders. No question of using paper tapes: the phenomenon was too fast. Everything happened in fifty millionths of a second. We then photographed the Tektronix oscilloscope screens with Polaroid cameras. These were "double traces" set to "single sweep", with a single sweep, triggered by a gauge reacting when the plasma entered the nozzle. This means that an oscilloscope could record two parameters, for example the flow in two load resistances, on the generator. We had four of them, crammed in the chicken coop in the Faraday cage, to avoid picking up the interference emitted by the launch of 540,000 amperes in the coil creating the magnetic field.
No one believed it. The guys had set the sensitivity to ten amperes.
Boom!
The lights went out.
Eighty amperes: same thing.
In fact, there were eight thousand amperes per pair of electrodes. Many expressed their skepticism.
- The device must be out of tune, it's not possible. You can't have such intensities at such low temperatures!
- It's because the electron temperature is 10,000°.
*- How can you be so sure? I say the device is faulty. *
*- We will add 2% of carbon dioxide. The electrons will excite these molecules in rotation and vibration. It will make them lose their energy. The electrical conductivity will collapse and so will the current. *
- If you say so ....
And it happened exactly like that. We had started the tests at nine o'clock. By noon everything was adjusted.
Moi, un théoricien ? Ouais ....
Theory is chic. But a good experiment that works is nice. I remember that I had said to Doré, before this first experiment:
*- You will give orders to Nature and she will obey you. *
When he did the test, the other two were behind their webcams, one in Toulouse and the other in Carpentras. I avoid traveling too much, because it tires my back.
