On the morning of September 11, there were necessarily
many journalists in Washington ready to act very
quickly. No one was better positioned than Jamie Macintyre,
who had his office within the Pentagon's premises. He was able to
carefully inspect the damaged facade and its immediate surroundings
and then relayed his observations live to American television viewers.
Here is a screenshot of the relevant section
from the Voltaire Network news website. It specifies that
the CNN journalist delivered his testimony to viewers after conducting a
"meticulous visual inspection of the impact site" (quote from the "Voltaire Network" journal).
