Deceased a few years ago. A man you cannot forget. A prince of mathematics, warm, open-minded, refined, always ready to encourage young researchers. This portrait will amuse those who knew him well, as it is very realistic, both in the fidelity of the features and in the posture. This was the attitude Lichné had when he listened to you.
A member of the Academy of Sciences, he was well known worldwide for his work on differential geometry. He did his best to try to negotiate Souriau's admission to the Academy of Sciences, but in vain. It's a pity because his presence would have greatly enriched this assembly, which already has quite a few dinosaurs.
Thanks to him, I was able to publish my first works on "geminal cosmology" in 1977.
