ITER for Beginners

June 7, 2013

The purpose of Knowing Without Borders is to allow internet users to understand the greatest number of aspects concerning science, that is to say established and reliable scientific facts.

The ITER project is international in character. Having never been the subject of a real international scientific audit, since it has no scientific director in charge, this chimera has been and is the object of an intense lobbying policy, in all countries, aimed at making acceptable to humanity that this project is the most perfect realization of FUSION, and the only possible future of nuclear technology in terms of energy production.

Which is false.

It is obligatory to note that, on the one hand, there is no clear presentation on the operating principle of ITER, that is to say of the machine called Tokamak, since ITER is nothing other than a giant Tokamak. Moreover, the very numerous documents intended for the public deliberately pass over in silence the serious problems represented by the intrinsic instability of these machines. They are nothing more than propaganda documents.

It has therefore seemed necessary to us to explain at the same time the operating principles and the mechanisms of these instabilities in five videos that can be viewed at the following addresses. The presentation has the approval of all plasma physics specialists throughout the world, except, of course, those involved in the ITER project.

The base version is in French, with English subtitles. There are five parts:
