Tong: hat off for this achievement
May 3, 2009
I am personally a fan of cartoons and good quality animated films. These have made giant steps forward. The technique now allows for large-scale productions, from teams that have nothing in common with the numerous ones required for the long animated films of Disney from half a century ago. It is then that talent, taste, imagination, humor, and the touch of emotion make the difference, and this trend will become more and more evident.
I discovered today the ESMA, the Superior School of Artistic Professions. One of my readers sent me to the excellent short film entitled:
TONG
The plot is amusing. Everything is focused on the game of two characters, the Vietnamese inventor Tong, and "the boss."
By the way, I would like to mention that sixteen of my science comic books are translated into Vietnamese:

Tong, the brilliant but quite unpredictable inventor.
Managed by his irritable boss
Tong's experiments do not work as he would like.
Excerpt from my page "Humor 1"
Tong's experiments actually work
in the opposite way
of the desired result, which gives an idea to his boss
At the moment when Tong is fired, a terrifying news falls:
in 37 days the Earth will be hit by an asteroid
Since Tong's "duplicator" actually works as a disintegrator, his boss recalls him
and asks him to use his invention to save the Earth by disintegrating the asteroid
Tong
(very expressive and successful)
gets back to work with his usual enthusiasm and.....
I don't want to reveal the final twist......
Immediately noted by readers, a production from ENSMA that I had not had time to watch and which also has its charm:

Alien parents horrified by the deviant behavior of their offspring
God discovering the "genius" of the human species, open to "spirituality"
On the left, the man, on the right, the flower of his technology

A philosophical tale with a very original style, a mastery of expression in simplicity. It makes me think of Jean Image
To collaborate with one of these animation teams: that is all I would ask for. Will it happen during my lifetime? Let's hope so...
These people know how to reach me.
And moreover, in Pertuis, I will be near Montpellier
