Back from London
September 16, 2008
Ijust arrived from London where I presented my work in cosmology at an international conference at Imperial College (it's the third ranked university in England, the first being Cambridge). I will report on all of this later, because already I must immerse myself in preparing the international conference in Vilnius, Lithuania, on MHD and Z-machines (all at my own expense, of course).
Ihad quite a bit of success there by introducing a first: presenting my research work in two forms -
The hard version
The BD version
.
Its English version
, translated by my friend John Murphy.
Iplan to systematize this kind of thing. It's a pity I didn't have time to finish a BD for Vilnius on Z-machines. But The Silent Wall is already translated into Lithuanian and online on the site of Savoir sans Frontières, where we have exceeded 200 translations.
Before starting this page, a short anecdote. Taking the Eurostar, before collapsing from fatigue, I did a last drawing: this one:
Translation: "Welcome on the Eurostar. In case of problem you will find your emergency equipment under your seats"
Then I fell asleep like a log. When I woke up, I saw passengers getting up, taking their suitcases. I thought "we arrived in London", but I saw "Brussels"... etc.....
At my return, my readers sent me some links to videos. They are about the follow-up of the Jean-Marie Bigard affair. I think we should start with a TV show where journalists, in chorus, denounce "the recklessness of this fantasist". Let's say that one of the first to speak out, questioning the official theme on the events of September 11, was the courageous (and talented) Marion Cotillard, just before receiving her Oscar for her film "La Môme", an artist treated by the French press as a "simple-minded person". I had dedicated a page to this event at the time.
On September 7, 2008, the successful French comedian Jean-Marie Bigard made the news by expressing his opinion on the events of September 11 during an interview on Ruquier's show.

The statement of Jean-Marie Bigard in the show "On va se gêner", on Ruquier
The next day, the AFP website presented a new statement from the same "who presents his apologies to the French". I would really like to have the full letter that Bigard is said to have sent to the AFP. If someone sends it to me, I will include it on this page.
Numerous comments in all French press.
Example: the article from Nouvel Observateur
All French press, unanimous, denounces this "irresponsible trend". There is no shortage of examples.
Examples: the magazine Gala
TF1
The comment of David Pujadas on Antenne 2 was also quite good, but it has disappeared
Imet the young journalist Guillaume Dasquié, co-author with Jean Guisnel of a book "The Horrible Lie",
which I had already mentioned in April 2006
adding some comments. Honestly, reading this book, one realizes the lack of professional awareness of its authors, clearly completely ignorant of aeronautical questions. This does not prevent Dasquié from continuing to tell the same nonsense two years later, which shows that journalists work:
-
With press agency reports - With hallway rumors
-
Using their common sense (...)
-
Giving voice to opinions of a small circle of people, whom they consider "experts"
More and more they stop really informing themselves by talking to competent people, or even just on the ground.
.
Other international political figures, infected by the contagion, also apologize, like Jean-Marie Bigard
Sunday, September 14, 2008 Bigard
is interviewed by the presenter of the 19/20, on FR3
, on the occasion of the play "Clérembard" at the Hébertot theater
Jean-Marie BIGARD is almost every day at
THEATRE HEBERTOT
78 Bis Boulevard Batignolles

for the play CLERAMBARD by Marcel AYME
until January 17, 2009

A role that can only suit him perfectly. If I were in Paris, I would rush to see this play inspired by the book of Marcel Aymé, which once was made into a film. Clérembard is an irritable, tyrannical man, who, in order to maintain his old house in ruins, forces the members of his household to work themselves to exhaustion on knitting machines. As for him, he feeds his family by killing the neighborhood cats.
The presenter, wanting to join the chorus of condemnation, attacks Bigard by saying "what mosquito bit you?". But his guest suddenly rebels and maintains his statements. Catastrophe.....
Having specified that his thoughts were based on FACTS ("no image shows a plane hitting the Pentagon"), he tries to return to the theme of his interview: the presentation of his show. But one can imagine the producer of the show, making signs behind his back to tell the presenter "stop! Interrupt this interview which is going off the rails".
The journalist Morandini gives his comments in this video, retrieved from dailymotion;

ou will see the actor Yves Rénier, mixing everything up and commenting "Well, after such a statement, Jean-Marie Bigard may have problems entering the United States". Bigard, like 500,000 others, is listed as a "potential terrorist".
Well, he will have a hard time entering the United States....
A
t one moment, an extremely self-confident participant (a journalist?) says that the host of this show expressed regret for allowing such statements and asks if sometimes one shouldn't censor certain declarations.
Shouldn't certain statements be censored? ......
" Yes, comments Morandini, that's the whole problem of freedom of expression". Don't miss this sequence, it is revealing of the shocking incompetence of our journalists.
Learn to think for yourselves, otherwise others will do it for you:

ince a while I was thinking that when I have a minute I should record a video sequence, to put on dailymotion, where I would express myself as a scientist and aeronautical engineer, about these events of September 11 and these strange "terrorist attacks". Indeed,
in my environment there is a deafening silence.
Have you heard a single scientist speak on this subject? I don't recall.
T
he press shrugs (especially the French press) when someone dares to say "we are not being told the whole truth", or even that we are being lied to. How could a journalist ignore facts, obey a law of silence, or even deliberately lie? It's... unthinkable, of course.
