Impressive, isn't it? Could it be... reality? We know that in the United States, extremely destructive tornadoes occur, generating winds of 400 km/h. At one point you see cars flying like straw and even a semi-truck lifted from the ground. A tornado can pass through a town and leave nothing but debris in its wake. Is this... unrealistic? No, these things are indeed real. We have known this for a long time. Americans who live in the path of these tornadoes all have a basement shelter with a strong steel door under their homes. Very often families emerge and find no trace of their house, completely pulverized. We also know that there are storm chasers who take risks by approaching these monsters and that a vehicle is certainly no shelter.
At this point, if these sequences are potentially "realistic", are they really
real
? Do you find people in the USA who are crazy enough to run around at a hundred meters from such monsters, continuing to film?
One obviously asked me this question. I then watched this video with special effects experts and the answer came.
They are just "excellent" 3D computer-generated images. And here's why.

One knows that tornadoes carry debris flying at high speed. Few have been sucked in and survived.

Vou have understood: it's not credible. Said my friends experts: it's too well done. This adds to the previous mistake, where those who created this sequence forgot to represent the tree that is shattered by the tornado.
Last sequence shows the risk-takers running next to a fire tornado. These images are also "realistic", as is the final image "shot from a helicopter". Fires stimulate tornadoes by increasing the updraft. This has been observed and even filmed. But not with idiots running just a few tens of meters...

MORAL OF THIS STORY:
Je remember the first computer-generated images, in the mid-1970s. What a long way we've come! Having experimented with these techniques at the time, I know exactly how all this is created. The difference is in the computing power: speed and number of processors. Forty years later, it's to the point where it takes the eye of an expert to detect the flaw. For such a sequence, how many people are needed to create it? Verdict of the experts: twenty full-time people for three months, only! And it's a nice job, according to them. One can assume that this will illustrate another disaster movie from across the Atlantic, after meteorite falls, tsunamis, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions.
Projecting ourselves into the near future. In a few years, these techniques will progress. One day, it will become very problematic to distinguish the real from the fake. Then, it won't take much intelligence to imagine that we will be able to create an infinite number of false riots, false wars, false bombings, false launches from aircraft carriers, false anything.
