Astronomy - Space - UFOs Conference
Strasbourg, October 16 and 17, 2010
Posted online May 7, 2010
September 5, 2010:
Five weeks before the conference, all 200 tickets for the Saturday, October 16, session from 6 PM to midnight, hosted by the UFO-science team, have been sold. With the hall rented by M. Padrines, there is therefore no more possibility to attend these lectures. I remind you that I am not the organizer of this conference. For any possible solution, please contact M. Padrines directly. Interview with J.P. PETIT, June 3, 2010
You will be able to listen to this interview, conducted on RDL 103.5 by Hervé Laurent on June 3, 2010, about the presentation of the international conference in Strasbourg, scheduled for October 16 and 17.
The presenter began by mentioning a "Ufology Congress." I would like to immediately clarify this point. Following our last phone conversation, Mr. Michel Padrines has indeed considered modifying the title of this conference and changing
Astronomy - Space - Ufology
to
Astronomy - Space -
UFO Phenomenon
We must put an end to a "discipline" that is not one. If people want to adopt such a title and present themselves as such, they are welcome to organize their own "Ufology Congresses," like the one in Châlons-en-Champagne in 2005.
This conference will feature numerous presentations by physicists, astrophysicists, and cosmologists. There will be civilian and military pilots who will report on their testimonies. There will be individuals who held responsible positions related to the dossier and will share their experiences and reflections. There will also be people like Christel Seval, who have extensively worked on cases from a human sciences perspective.
The approach will be resolutely
pragmatic,
excluding sectarian displays (such as those of the infamous Raëlians) or various professions of faith. In two days, it would be impossible to exhaust such a vast subject, so priority will be given to developing methods for analyzing light signals, ground traces, and scientific exploitation of data from the UFO dossier.
The project, focused on concrete matters, is broad enough that we can hope this conference will not become a battleground for polemics, narrow-minded speeches, or utterly misplaced debates.

. Therefore:
A conference not to be missed
A few months ago, Mr. Padrines contacted us. He wanted to organize an International Conference where the UFO subject would be addressed. There had been the unfortunate precedent of the "Ufology Congress of Châlons-en-Champagne" (though it still attracted 11,000 visitors and, despite its complete ineptitude, received some media coverage).
Padrines
spoke of guests such as Stanton Friedman, Nick Pope, and the son of Major Marcel. Then the name of Professor Chandra Wickramasinghe, professor of mathematics and astronomy at Cardiff University, specialized in the search for life in meteorites, appeared.
For months, with the survivors of UFO-science (J.C. Doré, M. Ader, X. Lafont, C. Seval, and a few advisors), we had been considering renting a hall in Paris to present a review of our activities over three years. Regarding this Strasbourg conference, we asked ourselves the question, and the general answer was: "We should go, we'll see what happens."
Padrines
is attempting,
and this would be a world first,
to bridge science and UFOs, rather than leaving the subject solely in the hands of ufologists. I have no issue with them. Without these early volunteer investigators, we would never have known anything. If scientists turn away from the dossier, it is not the fault of the investigators, but it is a fact. In the scientific world, I am an exception that confirms the rule:
I am the only one who has placed "goals" in the "scientific field," with publications linked to the UFO subject, over 35 years
The conference organized by Padrines will span two days: Saturday, October 16, and Sunday, October 17. The UFO-science team will occupy the Saturday slot from 6 PM to midnight, with a sandwich break for dinner. There will be multiple presentations. We will bring Ufocatch and the MHD test bench in a truck. There will be live demonstrations.

The automated UFO tracking system Ufocatch
Padrines has chosen the format of a conference consisting of paid, pre-paid lectures. He told us our UFO-science show (multiple speakers) would cost visitors 18 euros (but not a cent in our pockets, I emphasize). For other sessions, please consult the conference website. The total amounts to, I believe, 130 euros, but no one is required to attend all sessions.
A clarification:
We will all travel there at the expense of the UFO-science association, and none of us will be paid for our presentations. Thus, we will remain completely financially independent from the event organized by Mr. Padrines.
If this conference "succeeds,"
it will mark the beginning of an annual conference of this kind.
But to achieve this, we must avoid various pitfalls, which you can easily imagine. Everything must be thought through. Twenty years ago, for example, I participated in an outdoor show on the UFO subject. The Raëlians, all dressed in white with their infamous medal (the swastika mixed with the Star of David), arrived en masse, trying to sell their nonsense. Here, Padrines has warned: "Any sectarian manifestation, in whatever form, will result in immediate expulsion by security."
In the hall, the front row will be reserved for scientists and science journalists. Padrines has therefore solicited them. While some responded to his call, others outright said:
"Yes, if you remove all references to the UFO subject."
Exactly! That is precisely the challenge: to take this UFO dossier out of the ghetto where it has stagnated for over half a century, mocked by our media, managed by incompetent people. Already, on forums, we hear people say, "There won't be any scientists or astronomers, and on this account, this conference will be a failure."
I can tell you that there will be at least
one
astrophysicist: me. I specialize in galactic dynamics, and on this matter, I have no lessons to receive from anyone—certainly not. If some colleagues want to lecture me, I'll welcome them with open arms. Among the lectures I will give on Saturday, one will be dedicated to the current state of our knowledge of the Universe in astronomy and cosmology.
By making the lectures paid, Padrines is able to invite international guests. Lectures are prepaid. He said there would be no tickets sold on the day of the event. Last week, I announced this conference to my friends and contacts. Today, I am posting an official announcement on my website and on UFO-science's site, six months before the conference. We hope this conference will generate international resonance.
Meanwhile, you know that CNES has imposed, at Cité de l'Espace, the lamentable performances of "Professor Moublanc."

Meanwhile, at CNES, with taxpayers' money, the UFO subject is ridiculed.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xcs9u2_dgra-conference-de-presse-cite-de-l_fun
Hide this UFO, so I won't see it.
Apart from this lamentable farce, CNES is trying to rehabilitate the image of a Geipan in decline, whose director, Yvan Blanc, now frequents "Ufology dinners," complaining—like his predecessor Jacques Patenet—that scientists do not show interest in the UFO dossier. Under the patronage of Cité de l'Espace:

The logo of Cité de l'Espace
Retired astronomer Jean-Claude Ribes, former director of the Lyon Observatory, advisor to Geipan, member of the Cometa group, declined an invitation to speak at the conference. Now he has taken the stage with a lecture at a newly created "Academy of Air and Space":

Retired astronomer Jean-Claude Ribes, academician:
member of the Academy of Air and Space
Here is the poster-announcement:

The announcement poster for Ribes' lecture
Ribes reiterates a completely outdated theme he previously developed with astronomer Guy Monnet in a book published twenty years ago by Larousse, titled
Extraterrestrial Life
. For these two authors, travel to other stars was possible using enormous space "arks" moving at speeds far below light speed (an idea originally proposed by physicist O'Neil). These massive units, with complete ecosystems, carried hundreds of thousands of people on irreversible journeys, taking 40,000 years to reach the nearest star. The arks drew energy from hydrogen collected along their path and extracted it via fusion.

"Space Arks" by physicist Gerard O'Neil (1975),
cylinders carrying hundreds of thousands of people on irreversible journeys
Paraphrasing, one might imagine indigenous people living on some isolated island, visited by helicopters stationed on an aircraft carrier or flown over by jets cruising at stratospheric altitudes, proposing a model of a rowboat-propelled vessel.
If I attended this lecture (and I hope someone will), I would say to Ribes:
- And what about the UFO phenomenon in all this?
He already gave his answer in the book. Simple: they are detachable modules that, separating from these traveling arks, conduct rapid explorations en route before swiftly returning to their mother ship.
A model commensurate with Ribes' understanding of the universe's structure—close to zero. No, certainly, this new Academy of Air and Space is full of... wind. If you're ready to take sacks for lanterns, run there quickly.
Yvan Blanc, head of Geipan, did not respond to Padrines' invitations, who sent him three successive letters. Too bad for him. Padrines says his program is now finalized. It appears that the dossier prepared by Roland Portiche for a show driven by the Bogdanoff brothers, advised by Nicolas Montigiani (Science and the Unexplained), is already in the mailbox and will be broadcast this summer. The magazine Science and the Unexplained published an article of rare mediocrity on one facet of the UFO dossier, illustrated by an interview with a certain Dominique Caudron, "ufologist." Montigiani has made his choice, but I'm not sure he was right. In any case, you won't see us in his columns again, so know that.
We live in a pivotal era on many fronts. To date, the number of detected exoplanets exceeds 500. No astronomer worthy of the name can now doubt that life exists elsewhere in the universe beyond Earth.
One hundred billion galaxies
Hundreds to thousands of billions of stars in each
Possibly a million intelligent systems per galaxy.
In the observable universe: one hundred million billion planets with intelligent life
No astronomer, astrophysicist, or cosmologist can cling to the idea that we are the only living beings in the universe. Yet those who mention this possibility quickly temper their statements by saying, "Elsewhere it would likely be in a primitive, bacterial form."
What is this final folly, this last manifestation of pathetic geocentrism?
There remains the hundred-euro question: visits. Possible? Impossible? This will be the central issue of the debates at this conference, requiring a major overhaul of our understanding of the universe's geometry, made inevitable by the crisis in which astronomy, astrophysics, and cosmology have been sinking for decades. We will discuss intra-atmospheric developments using MHD, and I will report on communications presented at two international conferences (2008 and 2009) and three publications in a peer-reviewed journal (2009), of international standard. Since the first notes in the reports of the Paris Academy of Sciences in the mid-1970s, "disc-shaped MHD aerodynes" were already present in scientific terrain. Now they appear in conference minutes (the Bremen communication text, complete with recent experimental results: 19 pages) and in scientific journals. And this is only the beginning.
Interstellar travel: possible? impossible? The same debate. Answering this question requires re-evaluating our vision of the universe and its geometry—a necessity to escape the crisis into which astronomy, astrophysics, cosmology, and even theoretical physics have plunged. The "bimetric" model, which makes such travel non-impossible, is now generating new publications beyond our own. We will discuss this.
All this has implications. The UFO subject belongs to science,
but science at the highest level, difficult to access.
How could it be otherwise? Two days are short for debate. There will be no time for endless testimonial narratives or expressions of opinion.
They have been expelled: the temple vendors, those selling 117 articles, T-shirts, bags, and... underwear, printed with serigraphed images from UFO iconography (see below). It's time to end this era, these sectarian displays, these idiotic churchyard squabbles. Let us make way for genuine scientific debates,
without which nothing will ever progress.

STRASBOURG GHOST UFO CONGRESS
A website announced an alleged UFO congress to be held in Strasbourg-France in October 2010.
While the list of participants includes notorious names such as Stanton Friedman, Nick Pope, Jesse Marcel, and more, it is hard to imagine how a 200-seat UGC movie theater could accommodate such a massive lineup of top UFO figures?
Purportedly an astronomical/space and UFO congress, a source indicates that "no astronomical society is involved in this alleged congress." The website is bilingual French/English.
A former manager of the French official GEIPAN states: "(the organizer) is a mythomaniac who could run away with the revenue of ticket sales."
Who is behind all this turmoil?
Michel Padrines, a French individual, an alleged author of two self-published books introducing guru-style investigations into GEIPAN cases, for which he was briefly an official IPN investigator in a northern region of France near Germany. He was fired last year as the official UFO research team deemed they could no longer work together in trustworthy terms.
A simple phone call to the publisher of one of Padrines' books, Daniel Robin, revealed he still owed him 4,000 euros (5,500 dollars). In parallel, a chapter director of the largest French UFO organization, Les Repas Ufologiques, is still owed another sum of money by Padrines.
As most participants are international and unaware of Padrines' background, the more knowledgeable European UFO community is wary about him organizing such a congress from such an untrustworthy figure.
Caveat Emptor!

STRASBOURG GHOST UFO CONGRESS
A website announced an alleged international congress to be held in Strasbourg, France, in October 2010. While the participant list includes well-known names such as Stanton Friedman, Jesse Marcel, Nick Pope, and others, one wonders how a 200-seat cinema complex could possibly accommodate such a lineup of top UFO figures?
Purportedly an "Astronomy - Space - UFO" congress, a source claims that "no astronomical society is involved in this alleged congress." The website is bilingual French/English.
The former head of the official French GEIPAN states: "(the organizer) is a mythomaniac who could abscond with ticket sales revenue."
Who is behind all this chaos?
Michel Padrines, a French individual, author of two self-published books promoting guru-style investigations into GEIPAN cases, during his brief tenure as an official IPN investigator in a northern French region near Germany. He was dismissed last year by the GEIPAN team, which deemed they could no longer collaborate with him in a credible manner.
A simple phone call to the publisher of one of Padrines' books, Daniel Robin, revealed he still owed him 4,000 euros. Meanwhile, a director of France's largest UFO organization, Les Repas Ufologiques, also claims Padrines owes him money.
Since most international participants are unaware of Padrines' background, the more experienced European UFO community is suspicious about him organizing such a congress from such an untrustworthy figure.

Padrines' response on the same forum, signed by his name:
The organizer of the event sent this by mail:
Sir,
Some isolated individuals and UFO websites are attempting to pressure members of the organizing body and the conference itself through slanderous attacks and outrage against individual freedom.
A criminal complaint has been filed with Monsieur le Procureur de la République (District Attorney). This complaint has been lodged against five persons, two foreign websites, and a sectarian association likely responsible for the libel.
We can assure you that all commitments made by the organizing body will be scrupulously honored, and of course we are ready to answer any further information you may need.
Unfortunately, such a scientific event may provoke envy and deceit among people who pretend to be ufologists but are only troublemakers.
I am sending this email to inform you of any malicious or ill-intentioned messages you might receive.
If such messages continue, could you please forward copies to us so we can include them in the penal file?
But let us return to what matters: we confirm the press conference scheduled for June 9th, announcing the event, as well as the dispatch of flight tickets by the end of June.
The 18 participants will all be accommodated in the same hotel. Booking confirmation through the hotel will be sent within 10 days via your email.
Given the growing momentum of the event, we may have to reserve a room for 300 people at the UGD Ciné Cité, further proof of the success of our international meeting.
This email is sent out of respect for you, to keep you informed of the legal actions taken, so that our mutual trust should not be compromised.
With my thanks.
Yours sincerely,
Michel Padrines

Following the slanderous insinuations found in the text on this English-language forum (see above, on the page), we were able to quickly receive direct confirmations of their participation in the conference organized by M. Padrines from speakers such as
Nick Pope, Stanton Friedman,
and Chandra Wickramasinghe.
These were clearly attempts at destabilization, which will backfire on their authors.
Undoubtedly, a conference not to be missed.
May 13, 2010:
The Stables of Augeas
Michel Padrines' project for the "Astronomy - Space - UFOs" conference is facing extremely virulent attacks from ufologists, who are unleashing fury in both French and English-language UFO forums, branding him a mythomaniac and a fraud (see above). This project deeply disturbs many people, and numerous individuals are working to sabotage it.
But I can tell you one thing: in 2010, regardless of what happens, the small group UFO-science will present its work (spectroscopy, Ufocatch, MHD, presentations at major international conferences, publications in high-level scientific journals, top-tier cosmology).
This presentation, by contrast, will expose for all to see the complete fraud that is the CNES service (GEIPAN, then SEPRA, then GEIPAN), which will never produce anything due to the flawless incompetence of its successive leaders. The last one, Yvan Blanc, unwilling to be questioned about 33 years of waste, responded to Padrines' three successive invitations with prudent silence.
At the heart of these attacks: "the largest French association dedicated to the UFO subject": "Les Repas Ufologiques." What is this? People gather in a restaurant, usually a supermarket cafeteria, where they listen to endless ramblings. People testify, then everyone offers their comments. Scientifically, it's utterly null. In contrast, it's obvious that if this conference succeeds in gathering,
a true tour de force,
scientists presenting their work on the UFO dossier, it will instantly collapse this "discipline" devoid of any substance: ufology, revealing its emptiness, and which can only exist due to the guilty silence maintained by the international scientific community, in its overwhelming majority, with only a few exceptions.
But science and UFOs are connected. We have demonstrated this for 35 years, and we will continue shouting it loudly. A real science, not a farce like the speeches of the (truly) retired astronomer Jean-Claude Ribes with his 3rd-millennium caravels. See above.
The magazine
Science and the Unexplained,
which initially was a courageous and intelligent initiative, is now sinking into scandalous nonsense. Most articles are unsigned. This is because they are written by the editor-in-chief, Nicolas Montigiani. The content varies wildly. While the article on Chinese pyramids is interesting, Montigiani treats the Ummo case with a seven-page diatribe of sheer stupidity, supported by an interview with ufologist Dominique Caudron:

Dominique Caudron, distinguished ufologist, interviewed by Science and the Unexplained
Soon in a forthcoming "scientific" broadcast by the Bogdanoff brothers
Letter from Mr. Rode Migdal to the editor-in-chief of Science and the Unexplained, May 2010
Mr. Montigiani,
I need not introduce myself; you were kind enough to quote an excerpt from my message concerning the GLNF (the Grand Loge maçonnique Nationale Française), which, by the way, is experiencing an unprecedented crisis, confirming my earlier statements.
But today I return to the article about the Ummo dossier.
I have no opinion on this subject. I've read many books on it, but lacking the necessary scientific knowledge, I refrain from drawing any conclusions.
However, I am speechless after reading the interview with Mr. Caudron. Why give a platform to this man whom you present as an amateur astronomer? I don't dispute that autodidacts can reach a high level of knowledge, but when Mr. Caudron cites J.P. Petit without citing him, we are approaching absolute nonsense. How can one seriously grant credibility to Mr. Caudron regarding Mr. Petit, a CNRS researcher specializing in astrophysics, admittedly criticized and even ridiculed, yet never refuted by the entire scientific community that has no valid arguments to oppose?
It's utter hypocrisy for an amateur to criticize a scientist. I don't even know if he realizes the ridiculousness of his position.
I imagine he would be utterly incapable of decoding the mathematical formulas presented by J.P. Petit. I emphasize that I have no personal interest or benefit in defending Mr. Petit, but between a confirmed professional and an amateur, however competent, my choice is clear.
Given his portrait, I'll spare you a psycho-morphological analysis, always dangerous, but one clearly senses in this individual an evident self-satisfaction, which is always a barrier to open-mindedness.
The first-class burial of the Ummo dossier and the UFO subject in general, delivered by Mr. Caudron, is remarkably stupid.
Personally, I've never seen Australians, yet I don't question their existence. And if they ever arrive in my garden, I'll try to communicate with them by showing photos of kangaroos, so they won't be too nostalgic.
These remarks are exactly on the same level as those of Mr. Caudron regarding his approach to the UFO phenomenon, which is an insult to intelligence.
The example cited at the conclusion remains a monument; by mentioning the Dreyfus Affair, I wonder what he aims to prove, since justice has already passed through that episode, rehabilitating the honor of a victim of antisemitism.
In short, Mr. Caudron has both feet in trouble, yet he still sings — which is very French, but ultimately quite ineffective. Could Mr. Caudron be a "debunker"? That wouldn't be surprising.
I remain surprised by your choice. I understand your desire to seek the truth, to contrast opposing theories, and to try separating the wheat from the chaff, but in this case... Honestly...
YVES RODDE-MIGDAL
A major cleanup is needed, because nonsense is far from over. The Bogdanoff brothers, with whom I was once friends more than twenty years ago but who now are willing to do absolutely anything to stay on television, have concocted a UFO dossier already filmed by director Roland Portiche, set to be released next summer alongside a special issue of Science et Inexpliqué dedicated to the topic. Perhaps a commercial success, but when one learns that Caudron contributed to it, mediocrity is assured.
After this dossier — a genuine intellectual blunder — I believe I will finally break my silence, motivated by loyalty to an old friendship, and express my own opinion on this "Bogdanoff affair."
In this major cleanup, we must expel the "money-changers of the temple," and on this subject you will witness a truly astonishing performance.
We managed to remove from the Strasbourg program a lecture by Mr. Denocla, pillar of this farce, this near-cult that is:
A member of UFO-science, Xavier Lafont, is currently finalizing a site called "ummofiles," which will likely go live this summer and will present these texts (without copyrights or silly tattoos like "ADUMMO," meaning "Association for the Defense of Ummo," in fact a full-blown takeover) accompanied by genuinely scientific commentary. Because due to individuals who carried out a true hostile takeover of this dossier ten years ago — foremost among them former military man André Jacques Holbecq — the subject has become the property of the "money-changers of the temple," the arena of all intellectual vulgarities and crude mercantilism.
After recovering the content of the site originally created by webmaster Nicolas Lecot, Holbecq set up a forum filled with megabytes of meaningless chatter, designed to locate scientists worldwide who might be interested in this dossier. After years of failure, he now infiltrates alter-globalist circles, publishing books on economics with wild left-wing ideology.
"Pollion," who, lacking a real name, adopted a pseudonym (evoking Champollion, the famous decipherer of ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs) and dares not abandon it for fear of returning to anonymity, has become the hymn-singer of an "ummological" culture, which he proudly displayed at the 2005 "ufology" colloquium in Châlons-en-Champagne:

The Belgian "Pollion" at the 2005 "ufological" congress in Châlons-en-Champagne
At the time, the "Ummo-science" group had created a panel of "experts" tasked with rating forged letters that arrived promptly. This panel ultimately sank into complete ridicule. Pollion solemnly authenticated one letter by decoding a phrase using his mastery of the Ummite language. Unfortunately, the sender later admitted in a follow-up message that it was all a prank meant to test the group's credibility — and that the word actually referred to the product used to unstick a bicycle chain...
But the crown jewel, the blue ribbon, unquestionably belongs to this:
Denis Roger Denocla,
pillar of the site
who carries his UFO-themed dinner party from one event to another. Type his name into Google. You'll quickly land on his site, where he offers 117 articles for sale, including now an album composed in... Ummite language and sung by him!

Ummo Business. One of the 117 "spin-off products" from the Ummo dossier, offered for sale by Denocla. Here, a mug.
For 21 euros, you can buy underwear featuring a reproduction of the Ummite vehicle:

Another product commercialized by Denocla: underwear (21 euros) bearing an Ummo image.
And now, the climax: an album where he presents a song composed in... Ummite:

Staggering vulgarity!

Denocla, bottom left, author and performer, soon to be sold at UFO dinners.
We managed to remove this clown from the Strasbourg colloquium program just in time, where Padrines had initially welcomed him.
T-shirts, bags, even underwear printed with excerpts from illustrations found in the Ummo texts via screen printing! And it was precisely this kind of merchandise that he intended to offer at one of the stands the Strasbourg colloquium planned to provide for speakers.
Why not take the pseudonym Albert Stein while we're at it? Why not sell "UFO-science" keychains at a stand?
At the Châlons-en-Champagne colloquium, visitors could buy inflatable dolls evoking extraterrestrials...

An UFO stand at the 2005 international ufology colloquium in Châlons-en-Champagne
Will we ever manage to free this UFO dossier from these lamentable clowneries — possibly institutionalized? We must clean out these Augean stables thoroughly.
By Sirius, and there's plenty of work ahead!
July 21–25, 2010.
Since the announcement of the Strasbourg colloquium "Astronomy - Space - UFOs" on October 16–17, 2010, we have received an avalanche of emails warning us about Michel Padrines, the organizer.
- We were told the mentioned speakers would not attend.
- We were advised to "get paid before coming," a nonsensical suggestion, given that the UFO-science team is funding the entire operation at its own expense.
- On a foreign blog, a courageous contributor, using a pseudonym, claimed to have heard the former head of Geipan (engineer Jacques Patenet) say that in his opinion, Padrines was quite capable of taking off with ticket money. This English message was immediately reposted on all ufology forums, and one can assume this was the goal of a maneuver whose author remains unidentified. Padrines then contacted the former Geipan head, now retired, who promptly denied having made such statements, while adding he did not wish his email to be reproduced...
For information,
I just received (July 28, 2010) an email from the United States stating that Stanton Friedman, Nick Pope, and Jessie Marcel have also been targeted by a similar campaign of discouraging emails. Having received his flight ticket (sent by Padrines), Friedman confirmed his attendance. The same goes for Pope and Jessie Marcel.
Clearly, we're disturbing a lot of people.
What's surprising is that the most relentless opponents are... ufologists. But there's logic in all this. These people aim to keep the UFO dossier within their own sphere of competence, which doesn't soar very high.
It's true that this Strasbourg colloquium will raise the bar significantly for them — at the level of real cutting-edge science, in MHD, spectroscopy, astrophysics. This colloquium marks the end of a 50-year imposture called "ufology." We simply need to replace the terms "ufologist" or "UFO researcher" with the perfectly respectable term "field investigator."

Apart from that, a certain Franck Muller insisted strongly, telling me that if I participated in this colloquium, I would lose "the little credibility I still have."
-
More recently, I received a series of emails from him containing accusations so serious that I deemed it necessary to reproduce their content.
Here are the man's details:
Muller Franck

In an email dated July 15, 2010, he told me, among other things, about Mr. Padrines:
If you didn't get media coverage during your press conference, it's because they know the man and don't want to be fooled by this liar — you've seen the results.
I understood that he also pulled the cancer and chemotherapy story on others several times. I called the Paul Strauss Center at 03 88 25 24 24, and he is not hospitalized unless he was discharged yesterday.
To which I briefly and immediately replied:
Please provide details, thanks.
In response, this contemptible but unidentified individual tried to steer us toward two "ufologists" supposedly able to shed light on Mr. Padrines' actions. He provided their names, email addresses, and for one of them, a phone number. These people declared they didn't know Franck Muller and had nothing to do with this unpleasant affair.
After receiving Muller's email, I called Mr. Padrines to check on his health. Informed about the attacks accusing him of fabricating stories and being an impostor, he immediately sent me:
His admission slip to an oncology department

:
A prior prescription for chemotherapy he is scheduled to undergo soon
(the word framed in red by me):

When I went to Strasbourg to attend, along with Mr. Christel Seval, the press conference organized by Mr. Padrines, I noticed he had vision problems preventing him from driving his own car. The next day, under pressure from his partner, he consulted and it turned out this was due to a brain metastasis compressing the optic nerve, which doctors are now trying to treat with radiotherapy.
Mr. Padrines is currently awaiting chemotherapy. He emphasized that if his health prevents him from driving the colloquium he organized himself, his partner, family members, and close friends will ensure its smooth running. He has also arranged that any surplus funds remaining in his association's account after the event will be donated to cancer research organizations.
We, for our part, will be present regardless. At this event, we will present a broad range of results concerning methods for capturing information about the UFO phenomenon. J.C. Doré will demonstrate his UFOcatch system for data acquisition, tracking, and spectral capture before the public. We hope to make available to the public adhesive network caps compatible with mobile phones, currently being manufactured in China. The low-density MHD test bench, now finalized and operational, will be brought into the hall, and attendees will be able to see it in action. Since completion, this bench has produced unprecedented scientific results. The program for upcoming tests will be discussed. Mr. Ader will speak about the hydraulic testing program and laser fluorescence detection of ground traces. Mr. Laffont will address the detection of landing traces via thermal signature visualization. An experiment will illustrate his point. As for me, I will present my various works until the conclusion of our session at midnight on Saturday, October 16.
If readers wish to express their support for Mr. Padrines, they may do so via the following email address, which I take the liberty of reproducing.
The UFO Dinners
I have never personally attended such events. I've heard about them from various participants. These gatherings generally lack substance. People meet in a restaurant. Occasionally, witnesses describe experiences or observations. And it invariably ends in a fizzle.
Sometimes organizers invite speakers of highly variable quality. With just a few clicks, you can verify this yourself. Visit the website of the Strasbourg UFO Dinners:

Here is the homepage:

On the same page, a reminder of the movement's founder, Mr.
Gérard Lebat

In conclusion,
these UFO dinners offer a varied range of performances of all kinds, with:

but also undoubtedly an exceptional opportunity for those wanting to complete a collection of illustrated mugs or unusual underwear.
