In a column read by a Cuban television presenter, Castro claims that the Pentagon was hit by a missile, not an airplane. To support his accusation, "El Commandante" states that no trace of a passenger has ever been found.

"Today we know that this was a case of misinformation," writes Castro, who has not appeared in public since July 2006, when he underwent surgery to treat an intestinal hemorrhage. Since then, he has handed over power to his brother Raul.

"If one studies the impact of airplanes, such as those that hit the Twin Towers, or those that have accidentally crashed into densely populated cities, one can conclude that it was not an airplane that crashed into the Pentagon," he claims.

"Only a projectile could have caused this geometric-shaped crater supposedly caused by an airplane." "We have been deceived, like the rest of the inhabitants of this planet," he judged.

In this column, Castro makes no reference to Osama bin Laden or the fighters of the Al Qaeda network as being responsible for the September 11, 2001 attacks.

Let's hope it won't be the last. In the United States, men and women are gathering to denounce the greatest lie of all time. At the moment, unlike the Vietnam War, it is not a group of former soldiers, or men who refused to be drafted, or even a few officers, lost in a large, noisy group, who are assimilated by Americans to leftists, outcasts, hippies or versions of the 1968 generation across the Atlantic. It is high-ranking military personnel, senators, members of Congress, engineers, experts in controlled demolition.

All this at a time when Americans are questioning the true power structures in their country. Who holds power in the US? When George Bush was elected president, he quickly granted Dick Cheney, his vice president, incredibly extensive powers. The public is intrigued by this recent incident, which revealed that a B-52 would have crossed the territory of the United States, carrying cruise missiles with nuclear warheads of 150 kilotons. Why is this incident so important?

For several reasons. Nuclear warheads are transported every month across the United States by road, rail or air. But each time, these warheads, containing a highly toxic substance: plutonium, are packaged in such a way that in case of an accident, this substance cannot spread. Airborne, they are transported by specially designed planes, not by B-52s. The nuclear explosion itself is not feared. It would be practically impossible to trigger. In case of a crash of the carrier plane, or an accidental launch, a non-armed warhead is just an inert charge, plutonium having a density similar to that of lead. The danger would come from the dispersion of the highly toxic substance. A milligram of plutonium is enough to kill a man.

This transport is a serious mistake, certainly. But what follows is even more. What the military are trying to reconstruct at the moment is the command chain that planned this flight, heading to a base where aircraft destined to intervene in the Middle East, such as in Iraq, have always been gathered. One does not send a B-52 carrying cruise missiles equipped with nuclear warheads, each ten times more powerful than the Hiroshima bomb, as a result of a simple mistake. At the source of this command chain, an opaque wall leading to ... Dick Cheney. This is the man who has full control over the use of the nuclear weapon in the US. It is not George Bush, whom everyone knows is just a puppet.

Would this flight signal preparations for a surprise attack on Iran, destructive enough to irreversibly plunge the United States into a new conflict? It seems like we are reliving the movie "Dr. Strangelove". I remember a scene very well. Remember the theme of the film. A general in command of a base of the Strategic Air Command (the American nuclear force, at that time, mainly depended on the bombers, the B-52s), went mad and launched a nuclear attack on Russia. Bombers are heading towards their targets. In the control center...
