I want my readers and television viewers to rewatch this broadcast (in its entirety, and not just the dossier compiled by Vidkine, which will be rebroadcast soon) so they can understand how "the Big Press" works. What remains are the disgraceful and complacent statements of Pierre Lagrange, on whom we no longer have any illusions.

In any case, people must be allowed to form their own opinion, by providing them with the maximum amount of elements, not cut, not manipulated, "traceable." The 2004 Arte broadcast is a heavy document. I do not think it reveals a collusion of the press. I do not believe that pressure was exerted on these people to make such statements. It was not necessary. At worst, it's worse. This broadcast reveals:

• The lack of professional awareness of these leading journalists
• Their incompetence

You will judge when all of this becomes available. It is also a fact. Not a single journalist, through a press organ, will organize a debate (on TV or radio) by putting people like Philippe Val in front of their own statements from 2004, saying "do you still maintain everything you said back then?" When you watch these images again, when you hear these phrases again, you realize that it is not only good that there is a web press, but that it is indispensable, that it is the very expression of democracy. Without this parallel press, this is what they would put in your head.

I try to inform as much as I can. In areas such as aeronautics, military files and certain areas of science where I have some expertise, I do my best. By doing so, I realize the insufficiency of the scientific journalists' environment. Many are simply ... incompetent.

I remember the exchange I had with Larousserie, a young "scientific journalist" working for the magazine Science et Avenir, who had published an article on "cavitation torpedoes." I asked him at the time how these torpedoes could vaporize seawater as they passed. Answer:

• It happens on its own, through cavitation. It's a matter of speed (...). When it is sufficient, the cavitation phenomenon starts and the object is surrounded by water vapor.

No, "cavitation torpedoes" vaporize seawater at their tip by ejecting a gas produced by a rocket. The counter-thrust of this rocket is very inferior to the main propulsion rocket. This emission of hot gas forward only serves to vaporize the water, and the torpedo then moves through this water vapor, which creates a friction trail much lower than that of liquid water. This technique has existed for over 30 years and is the Russian "Sqwal" torpedo and the American "Supercav." You probably know that the Iranians have them! The Chinese produce them "under license."

When I spoke about this device, French specialists did not even know that there were rockets-propelled torpedoes.

Incompetence is therefore a common trait in the scientific journalist environment, and even worse in the aeronautical journalist environment.

The events of September 11 raise technical and scientific issues. It is not a matter of saying "I believe, I think, I feel that..." Not a single scientific journalist has addressed this issue, not one. But a video document broadcast in this parallel web press has strongly shaken the American opinion in recent times.
