The Turning Inside Out of the Sphere

This is an image of the central model of the polyhedral version of the turning inside out of the sphere, in other words the "turning inside out of the cube". I produced this animated sequence using the Pangraphe software that I had created in the early eighties, the first animated computer graphics software running on PC. You can download the article that appeared in 1979 in the magazine Pour la Science, the American edition of Scientific American. The article was offered to that magazine but the Yankees, not very fair play, refused it. .
I still have in my drawers the project of a hilarious comic strip, entitled "La Traversine Maléfique" (as well as many others, a question of time ...). In this album, inspired by the sorcerer's apprentice, Lanturlu is entrusted with the guardianship of the mathematics laboratory of a great magician. Imprudently, he creates Traversine, a gas which, like the "Metomol" of Spirou, allows objects to pass through themselves. At the end of rocambolesque misadventures Anleme will be condemned for Illegal Practice of Mathematics.
