June 5, 2018, after three years of intense struggle:

6/5/18: After three years of struggle, the article was accepted by the high-level journal Astrophysics and Space Science, demonstrating the excellent agreement of the Janus model with many observational data: local relativistic observations, acceleration of the expansion, nature of primordial antimatter, nature of the invisible components of the universe (negative mass and energy), gravitational lensing effects, apparent dwarfism of high-redshift galaxies, flatness of rotation curves and galaxy confinement, with transition to a system of two coupled field equations.

6/9/18: J.P.Petit, two hours on the Thinkerview channel, who kept his word despite the violent opinions coming from the scientific community ("What I heard was: Petit has a terrible character, that's why scientists don't want to talk to him"). I was still able to talk a little about my Janus model (from 1h22 to 1h50, 28 minutes out of 120, less than a quarter of the time allocated). Not enough to my taste. Hoping that Etienne Klein, whom I thank for having immediately accepted the idea of such a meeting, will be able to free himself this time. Then we could really focus on a quality scientific debate regarding the numerous observational validations of my model, recently published in Astrophysics and Space Science.

Abstract

:

The observed acceleration of the universe raises a puzzling question. What is the nature of a dark energy that would cause this phenomenon? We recall the arguments against the existence of negative matter on General Relativity grounds. They vanish if the universe is considered as a manifold M4 associated to two coupled metrics, solutions of a coupled field equation system. We build a non-steady solution where the positive species accelerates while the negative one decelerates. So that dark energy is replaced by (dominant) negative matter action.

Abstract

:

An extension of a previously published model of bimetric universe is presented, where the speeds of light associated to positive and negative mass species are different. As presented earlier, the dissymmetry of the model explains the acceleration of the positive species, while the negative one slows down. Dissymetry affects scale factors linked to lengths, times and speeds of light, so that if craft’s mass inversion could be achieved interstellar travels could become non-impossible, at a velocity less that the speed of light corresponding to the negative sector, possibly much higher than the one of the positive sector.

Abstract :

The fact that the universe has been observed to have an accelerating expansion remains an embarrassing question (this discovery was awarded a Nobel Prize in 2011). What could be the nature of this "dark energy" that is supposed to be the engine of this acceleration? We begin by recalling the arguments, based on General Relativity, that oppose the existence of negative masses in the universe. These arguments disappear if we consider the universe as a four-dimensional manifold M4, with two metrics, solutions of a system of two coupled field equations. We construct an exact, non-steady solution of this system, showing that the positive mass species accelerate, while the negative mass species decelerate. Thus, the "dark energy" effect is replaced by the action (dominant) of negative mass.

The hypothesis of negative mass and the nature of dark energy.

Astrophysics and Space Science, September 20, 2014.

Abstract :

This is an extension of the previous article, which referred to a bimetric description of the universe, but where different speeds of light are associated with positive and negative mass species. As presented in the previous article, this model explains the observed acceleration of the positive species. Its corollary is that negative mass entities decelerate. This asymmetry affects not only the limitations to a luminous speed, but also the scale factors (distances) and the flow of time. This suggests a possible technology where interstellar travel could be considered by inverting the mass of a vehicle, allowing it to move, "in this aspect," at a subluminal speed higher than that of the positive sector, since the speed of light, limiting the speed of negative mass particles, is much higher.
