I have a scientific communication accepted at the international conference COSMO17, which will take place in Paris from August 28 to September 1 (268 participants).
July 2-5, 2017
Budget:
- Registration fees: 550 euros, which I paid immediately - Round trip Pertuis-Paris TGV: 220 euros - Hotel, six nights: 600 euros
Total: 1370 euros
This is the first good news after a year spent trying to contact scientists in the field and seminar organizers, receiving only non-responses.
I believe that if this response had been negative, I would have given up, after 40 years of struggle, at over 80 years old, to do something completely different. But this first opportunity forces me to fight. Since all the French seminars have systematically closed their doors to me, the only solution to gain a beginning of visibility in the scientific world is to launch into a (tiring) campaign of participation in major international scientific conferences.
At the end of 2016, an opportunity had already presented itself. I had a communication accepted at the American Physical Society (APS) cosmology conference, of which I am a member. The conference was held in Washington in January. But I didn't have the first penny to go. The minimum budget would have been 3000 euros.
If the conference in Paris represents 1370 euros, an international conference is between three to four thousand, depending on the country. Anticipating, I have already sent abstracts to three conferences in Germany. The most interesting is the "Schwarzschild Meeting" which will gather many theorists and mathematicians.
The Schwarzschild Meeting: Budget: 2000 euros. I don't have a single cent.
July 5, 2017: My communication has just been accepted. Here is the message:
Dear Dr. Petit, we are very happy about your contribution to the KSM2017. We have had an overwhelming number of submitted abstracts this year. Despite an overly full schedule and a long wait list we have managed to reserve a poster slot specifically for you, so that you can present your research to all the participants at KSM2017.
However, this offer is contingent on your registration for KSM2017. Please register and pay the conference fee of 400 EUR using this link: https://indico.fias.uni-frankfurt.de/event/4/registration By July 7, 2017, please register for KSM2017, pay the conference fee, and inform us, if you accept our invitation to present a poster. If we do not hear from you by then, we will assume you are not interested in contributing any longer, and hence we will move to the next person on our wait list.

I have already paid the 400 euros registration fee and I will go. If the internet users help me, I will attend international conferences (budget 10,000 euros/year).
Money is the lifeblood of war, even in science. OK, I will fight. You will be kept informed.

No help to expect from the organs of scientific journalists who serve the "mainstream".
It is indeed quite remarkable that the public can be thus deceived (this is the counterpart, in science, of what happens in politics). I spent a day downloading, then re-uploading online a video of a certain Aurélien Barrau, member of the CNRS committee who has full control over hiring and defining orientations. Here it is. I simply reproduced on the screen his own words. It seems that this immediately triggered reactions from internet users, which you can access. But I later learned that these reactions already existed for a long time, especially from university professors, quantum mechanics teachers, and researchers, annoyed by the amount of nonsense this guy can produce every minute. Simply, Barrau deletes the comments he doesn't like. He has the possibility since he himself manages this YouTube account which has 30 videos! (which represent his interventions). This guy is a talker. But if these videos are downloaded and simply re-uploaded from another account, he will no longer be able to delete the comments. What he fears most are criticisms from university professors and scientists. This guy has really set up everything needed on the net to ... discredit himself.
