I've been thinking for days about giving news. I haven't posted anything since July 20, the date when I announced that I had spent the night of July 19 to 20 sticking polyurethane plates on the inside of my aqua gym pool, so that Marc Hélie, a professional in polyester resin, would find it ready to coat.
Indeed, that's what happened and the pool was completely finished. After waiting for the resin to dry, I was able to use it a few days ago. After this crazy work, given my condition, I suffered a lot, and I don't know when I'll recover from all this. The story is very simple on the MRI of this region of my spine.

Since that night of work, I have difficulty climbing the stairs, with a cane. My fragility has become total and I must limit my sitting times. With the slightest poorly handled movement, when leaving my bed or lying down, when leaving a chair or sitting down, when going up or down the stairs, the discs touch the spinal cord and I collapse screaming. The pain is violent, unbearable. It happens ten times a day. But at least, with this pool, I have set up a way to have a chance to get out of this. Otherwise, immobility and sedentary life are synonymous with muscle atrophy and dehydration, degeneration of the "soft parts", discs, ligaments, which are only "nourished" by soaking, therefore by movement. If the Wonder batteries wear out only if used, for joints it's the opposite.
But I know one thing for sure. The International Colloquium on Variational Techniques will take place in September, in Aix, 20 km from my home. I won't be able to go. I'm not in a condition to. There's also the colloquium on hypersonic aerodynamics in Bremen, Germany, in October. If at that time I'm in the same condition as today, I won't be able to go, even if I'm driven in a small car. Currently, I couldn't even go see a movie in town, even if someone takes me.
But I will still start writing the paper for Bremen and Geffray will register us. October is in two months. Let's hope...

You don't always draw the right number. On the other hand, Marc Hélie, the resin expert, did an impeccable job, which he completed in two days, helped by his partner. I didn't see them working. Full of anti-inflammatories and sedatives, I stayed in bed.
Amputated of a leg below the knee (removed by a hit-and-run driver 14 years ago), Marc Hélie no longer does this work properly, contenting himself with managing his company. But, informed by a friend, and knowing I was in trouble, he interrupted his vacation and came to do the work himself.

What else to say? This pool is a success and I will come back to this subject by putting a link. The work is excellent. The resin was covered with a white gel coat, which avoids tiling. The thermal insulation works very well. I can heat the water using a heating element, made by my friend Jacques Legalland from a washing machine heating element, 4.5 kW. With the elementary precaution of unplugging the said heating element before entering the water, or even touching its surface.
Will I recover through this gym, as I did 33 years ago? I don't know at all. Otherwise, here is "the other solution":
In this arthrodesis, two disc joints disappear at the same time. As a result, the one above takes the hit. If the vertebral bodies are calcified (with age), the screws get stuck, and as in this lumbar region the spinal cord explodes into a multitude of nerves forming "the horse's tail", the chances of placing a screw in contact with a nerve are not negligible. I have crossed many failures of this kind: shipwrecked men.
I have never feared going on the operating table. Two years ago it was for an umbilical hernia. Ten years earlier a "double carpal tunnel" (see my BD the Spondyloscope). Surgery does many services. But would you want that?
I prefer to try the aqua gym at home, for as long as it takes. I imagine that if I recover, it will take months.

Engineer Yves Blanc has taken up his new position as head of the Geipan at the CNES, succeeding the rather unimpressive Jacques Patenet, who retired. My opinion? Nothing will emerge from this service, no more now than during the 32 years following the creation of the Gepan, the Group for the Study of Unidentified Aerospace Phenomena in 1977. This office, which has been poorly tolerated for three decades by the CNES leadership, has no future at all. Its archives are empty. It has only produced fake technical notes, at the level of the authors. No ideas, no skills, no means. Investigations carried out by ... gendarmes, for three decades, and it continues. A "steering committee" without a pilot or an airplane.
Let the television journalists continue to serve soup to these people.

But just, what would happen to Yves Blanc, the new head of the Geipan, was present on the set? We know from reliable sources, since Patenet's retirement in December 2008, and his succession, assured in principle by engineer Yves Blanc, that nothing has happened at the Geipan during the six months that followed. No information emails sent to external collaborators, volunteers, nothing. Blanc doesn't seem to be in a hurry to take up his duties. Let's say that the calendar includes a meeting of the phantom "steering committee" for the fall, that is, the university fall, since those who are part of it are in principle university professors, who must, during a long period of summer, manage exams, vacations and a return.
The Geipan has no plan, no idea other than to continue to pilot the collection (perfectly useless) of testimonies by gendarmes. It has not at all been interested in the question of spectrum captures by network caps. Despite statements made by Yves Sillard (creator of Gepan in 1977), from time to time, evoking "increased means", the Geipan has no money, and reaffirms year after year "that it is not there to drive research". We continue to face a complete void.
If a television show host, like the young Hamouchi, found himself facing people like Blanc and me, I imagine that the question that would immediately come to his lips would be:

One cannot ignore what has never been anything other than a fraud, funded by the French taxpayer.
Under these conditions, one can expect pressure, hidden, exerted on the heads of channels, to avoid too obvious discredit of the service set up by the CNES in 1977.
Why such inaction? Is it something intentional? Not necessarily. In my opinion, it is above all the expression of a hostile rejection, which finds its source in a psycho-socio-immunological reaction, which manifests itself in indifference, by setting up incompetent and resourceless people.

Error, it is not a dream, it is reality. But before a large number of people become aware of it, I will probably have disappeared long ago. I agree with Julien Geffray when he says that the main idea conveyed in this book is too advanced to be simply understood. If you refer to the file on the electric plane, you can wonder why the Hélios aircraft, in its day and night version, is designed to stay at such high altitudes, which also corresponds to the cruising altitude of commercial airplanes, creating a risk of collision. The reason is simple. This observation platform, less expensive than a satellite and more maneuverable, allows good observation of ground installations, while remaining out of reach of surface-to-air missiles like the Stinger. Perfectly suitable for Afghanistan, Iraq or other places.
The paper I am preparing for Bremen will once again install the principles of disc-shaped aero dynamics, capable of evolving at hypersonic speed without shock waves or turbulence, in the minutes of an international colloquium dedicated to hypersonic flight. I don't receive a day without messages from young readers, or less young, who find all this MHD fascinating, and regret that France has such a delay in this field. I would have a different view of this discipline. Contemporary MHD is 100% military, and for many years to come. Aurora is not a tourist vehicle, but a spy plane and a platform for this intermediate space between stratospheric flights (20,000 meters altitude) and the circulation of satellites in orbit (300 kilometers).
At the end of the 80s, when the Coria of the University of Rouen triggered a final meeting, about the contract on the suppression of shock waves, five military engineers from the DRET (Direction des Recherches et Etudes Techniques, now DGA) came, accompanied by the inescapable polytechnician Gilbert Payan. The project was quickly identified by them as leading to a concept of a hypersonic cruise missile.

One could say: to present the principles of disc-shaped MHD aero dynamics, as I did in Vilnius, to install a "UFO technology" in the pages of peer-reviewed journals, and not in "UFO journals" (Acta Physica Polonica, June 2009). Knowing that if one day, if it is not already done, our technoscientific sphere is interested in this idea (if it is not already done, in the USA), it would be only for military applications. The human universe is Platonic, limited to the sublunar space, as is well known. The rest belongs to astronomy.
For me, these colloquiums are mainly an opportunity to gather information (Brighton 2001, Vinius 2008).
I think it is necessary for me to position my position regarding the "French MHD". We have, at UFO-science, started since 2007 to retrace experiences in low density air, similar to those we had conducted with my colleague and friend Maurice Viton in 1975-1977. It is more than just fun physics, since it is with such technology that I concretized my theory of the annihilation of the Vélikhov instability using a magnetic field gradient, a result that was presented at the international MHD colloquium in Moscow in 1983, and again at the Vilnius colloquium, and published in the peer-reviewed journal Acta Physica Polonica.
Why retrace such experiments? To recreate a research activity around this theme? No. It is only because of the link with a possible propulsion mode of UFOs. For this purpose, experiments of wall confinement have been successfully carried out. The result will be presented at the Bremen colloquium. This phenomenon provides a possible explanation for the confusing, anti-aerodynamic shape of the observed objects, which present sharp angles and concavities.
Let things be clear: I am not at all trying to develop MHD in France (translate "the physics of cold, bitemperature, magnetized plasmas, with low magnetic Reynolds number", which has nothing to do with the MHD of tokamaks or that of astrophysicists). It would be a waste of time. The DGA funds forty laboratories working "on cold plasmas" which ... produce nothing, because it is simply impossible to catch up 30 years of complete void in this field. This knowledge has been lost, like a stream of water in a desert.
The UFO-science work continues at a snail's pace, in spare time, in a ... 18 square meter garage, practically without technical help. It would be better to redo it, I would never have bought these 5000 euros of equipment. But since it's done, let's finish this research program. Anyway, the "quality of research on investment" result will be unbeatable, the results will be suitable for publications in high-level journals, because the theoretical concepts underlying these rustic-looking experiments are sophisticated. But all this is without future.
Addressing all these young people who dream of beautiful experiences, whether they are ordinary people or students in a school, it is useless to consider creating "MHD clubs" to tinker with magnets on a corner of a table. Others dream of "raising funds". Even if I had millions of euros, I couldn't do anything. You can't buy skills that have completely disappeared in France. This money would be absolutely useless. We will try to finish what has been started, in this ... 18 square meter garage, which will provide publications and ... beautiful images for a television program, and that's it.
In life, you have to make choices about how to use the energy you have. My energy is not inexhaustible. I continue, for the moment, my research in mathematical physics and astrophysics-cosmology. I will probably resume with my friend Viton the problem of the Pioneer probes' slowdown, which is not a small matter. Due to the loss of my partner's salary, I must also look for a retirement supplement by turning us into publishers. I therefore have no time to dedicate to teaching MHD, or to writing a book on the subject. When I disappear, these researches will disappear with me and ... that's how it is.
A MHD training would represent an investment in time too important. Moreover, the use that is made of this technology, which only continues to assert itself year by year, removes all motivation.
I will finish this kind of editorial by addressing what was mentioned in the title. A little over ten days ago, an informant I consider reliable, very linked to MHD activities located in Tomsk, Siberia, communicated to me the information that the Russians would have achieved the break even with an explosive generator of the DEMG type, with disks (Disk Electromagnetic Generator).
Faibility of break even using a Z-pinch
The break even, or breakeven, is a situation where the energy released by the fusion is greater than the injected energy, regardless of the system (in the case of an axisymmetric impulsive compression: the compression energy).
I described the principle of the DEMG generator, with flux compression in the article I had installed on my site in 2006, on the basics of MHD Chernyshev who outlined the main lines of his machine during the Mégagauss III congress, 1993. But it was only in 1999 that the Americans could see the beast up close and know the details of its operation. Nothing of this kind had been imagined in the United States. The DEMG (explosive disk generator) is made up of an assembly of pairs of concave disks, the whole presenting a rotational symmetry. The current flows along the lines indicated in red. This is initially provided by a helical generator, not represented in this figure (delivering 6 mega-amps). The establishment of this current leads to the appearance of a magnetic field that "fills" among other things all the cavities that are located between these concave disk structures. When the system is triggered, the detonators, located on the axis of the machine, trigger explosions that propagate radially, in a centrifugal manner. Near the axis, each disk has a "bulge". According to what I understand, the forces that compress these disk elements laterally propel these bulges, themselves disk-shaped, radially. In my opinion, a phenomenon similar to that of the hollow charge must occur, which accelerates the filling of the cavity and shortens the "flux compression time". In such a system, the disks have a radius of 20 cm and a thickness roughly five times smaller, that is, 4 cm. If we assume similar detonation wave speeds, Chernyshev managed to shorten the time to fill these cavities, the flux compression time by a factor of 25.
The system is also equipped with a fuse that, when the current reaches its maximum value, vaporizes and delivers the current to the liner in less than a microsecond (when the current reached a critical value, the fuse melted. The high current was then delivered to the liner in less than a microsecond). The current sent into the liner was intended to reach 35 mega-amps but an unexpected minor malfunction limited it to "only" 20 mega-amps.
The fact that the break even was achieved using a disk generator has a very precise meaning. If the power system of the American Z-machine is too heavy to be carried in a bomb, it is not the case with the DEMG, which is also scalable to any size. Therefore, this information can be considered a major event in the field of armaments, comparable to the explosion of the first atomic bomb at Alamogordo, and I choose my words carefully.
Why? Because this system marks the birth of a new type of "nuclear" bombs, "pure fusion" bombs. To trigger a fusion device, it is no longer necessary to use the X-ray flux delivered by "a small fission bomb," a small A-bomb. Therefore, to enter the nuclear club, it is no longer necessary to go through the costly and obvious isotopic enrichment process, through the acquisition of uranium, or the production of plutonium via a fast neutron reactor.
However, to detonate a fission bomb using plutonium, it is necessary to form, through implosion of a hollow shell, the famous "critical mass." Below that, the device does not work. The "progress" made in this class of weapons has been achieved at the level of the explosives used and the compression of plutonium (in metallic form). Thus, it has gone from one thousand tons of TNT equivalent to 300 tons. This power is therefore the minimum power of current atomic bombs, regardless of their type. Moreover, the detonation of 300 tons of TNT is sufficient, not only to devastate a town of 10,000 inhabitants, but also to carry waste into the upper atmosphere, and disperse it over a vast scale.
Therefore, it is the "gigantism" of these nuclear weapons and their "environmentally damaging" nature that have prevented their use so far and have prevented the explosion of a third world war until today. The result announced by the Russians changes the game drastically. Everything in the device built around a DEMG generator is scalable, including to an extremely small scale, such as that of a ... bullet, for example. Moreover, MHD compression allows, as shown by the result of the American Z-machine in 2005, to exceed a billion degrees, thus making it possible to consider using a non-neutronic or very weakly neutronic mixture of Boron-11 and Hydrogen H1. This could lead to the concept of "clean" nuclear bombs, "environmentally friendly."
If the Russians have let this information leak, it was on purpose. After the collapse of the former Soviet Union and during the era of the drunken Yeltsin, the country had reached its lowest point. This gave the American extremists the idea of becoming the masters of the world. Refer to the absurd document titled "For a New American Century," which is not without recalling "the Thousand-Year Reich" of another chronic madman. This information is a strong signal, meaning:
*- Do not expect to count without us and pretend to become the masters of the world, even if you now surround our country with a whole network of bases, even if your military budget is the largest in the world. *
The Russians have also recently fired a missile through the polar cap, from a submarine hidden under the ice. It is known that they still have units whose firepower alone could inflict terrible damage on an attacker. These are the Typhoon submarines.

The Typhoon fleet, like their American counterparts the Ohio, are not attack submarines, but defense ones. They hide under a few meters of ice and wait for a retaliation order, received via an antenna passing through the ice, undetectable. The Granit missiles were already something. The Russians did not want, at any price, for these to be recovered and dissected by the Americans, who do not have an equivalent. But the most important thing is that we do not see, we no longer see. The raising of the Kursk was only carried out after a careful cutting of its forward compartment, containing a formidable arsenal of hypervelocity torpedoes, with a diameter of one meter, larger than the standard diameter of torpedoes equipped on Russian submarines (73 cm; if I remember correctly). This forward compartment was then blown up at the bottom, as shown very well in the film by Jean-Michel Carré. I still believe that the content of this torpedo compartment, namely a battery of MHD torpedoes, nicknamed "the Big One" by the French DGSE services, was the cause of the sinking of this flagship of the Russian navy during maneuvers in which the effectiveness of this device was to be demonstrated to Chinese officers on board.
A terrible affair, which I already spoke about years ago, which resulted in the murder of the 118 sailors still trapped in the wreck, first trapped in it, then drowned by opening the airlock from the outside.
Let us close this bloody parenthesis, already fallen into the oblivion of history. The Russians also have the supersonic cruise missiles Sunburn. In terms of armaments, they are far from being amateurs. By announcing a break even with a pure fusion system, using as a base a simple explosive, they send a strong signal, one of whose aspects is:
Stay calm: it has become simply unnecessary to go to war with Iran to counter a nuclear threat

Everything fades, everything is stifled in this room of lost steps.
For entertainment, buy a DVD player and build a collection of movies or shows. The choice is vast. But you know very well that television, or the magazines you casually browse, are "machines to prevent thinking." The products are often not even entertaining. They numb, like noise compared to music. These machines are effective. They generate passivity, they anesthetize public opinion. Combined with video games, they allow people to no longer distinguish between reality and virtuality.
And yet, it only takes one gesture to free yourself from this tutelage. On your tax return, you check the box stating that you no longer wish to pay the fee. Then you turn off your TV. You will see, you can live very well without.
