This is an event that went almost unnoticed amid the flood of international news (“flood” is indeed an apt term here).
Cyclones form above warm waters; generally, when those waters reach a temperature threshold of 26°C. In mid-October 2005, a tropical cyclone—whose intensity level 1 obviously pales in comparison to the two cyclones that struck the southern United States—formed in the middle of the Atlantic on October 9 and reached Portugal on October 11. It caused only strong winds and heavy rainfall.
Let’s first take a look at the temperature curves corresponding to October 14, 2005:

We see that the 26°C isotherm lies thousands of kilometers away from Portugal. Below is a closer view of the weather conditions on October 14, 2005.

On Saturday, October 9, against all expectations, a genuine cyclone formed in the middle of the Atlantic, heading toward Portugal. The “eye” of the cyclone can be clearly seen.

Cyclone Vince, October 9, 2005
Vince formed northwest of Madeira, between the Azores and the Canary Islands. In the image above, the speed of the swirling winds is 120 km/h, with peaks reaching 140 km/h. This is the first time in modern meteorology history (since 1851) that a tropical phenomenon has formed so close to the European continent. Europe occasionally experiences subtropical storms that originate in the southern Atlantic or Gulf of Mexico, as in 1993 or 1995. Historical records show that no tropical cyclone has ever reached the Iberian Peninsula. Hurricanes and tropical storms usually form in warm waters much further south than the small Portuguese archipelago of Madeira, which lies roughly 2,000 km southwest of Portugal. Moving at 10 km/h, the cyclone headed northward toward Portugal.

Is our climate undergoing profound changes? Judging simply from glacier melting, this seems obvious. We’re in the midst of global warming. But what’s causing it? The greenhouse effect certainly doesn’t help matters. Yet, even if we completely eliminated this cause, would that be enough to halt the phenomenon? That’s uncertain. There’s one factor we currently can’t properly assess: the effect of increased solar activity. Last August, the Sun experienced its most powerful solar eruption since humans began observing such phenomena. The bombardment of Earth’s upper atmosphere by high-energy particles emitted during this eruption (the cause of this phenomenon) alters Earth’s albedo—that is, its ability to reflect energy sent by the Sun.
Finally, there are other possible causes we can’t rule out outright, though they seem to belong to science fiction. They could involve experiments with weather weapons.
A strange formation west of “Rita”
October 16, 2005
I struggle daily to manage everything I receive. The volume of material is always overwhelming. My pile of messages grows at an alarming rate; I get 200 per day. I try to handle what I consider priorities. Some readers might wonder, “Why hasn’t he responded to the documentation I sent?” Likely because those messages and attachments sink rapidly to the bottom of a pile consisting of hundreds of emails.

Given the staggering succession of natural disasters occurring these past months—cyclones, earthquakes, tsunamis, threats of pandemics—one is tempted to ask: Could these be signs of human intervention? Or does considering them in this light amount to paranoia? What we now call “conspiracy theories.”
When I find the time, I’ll present all available information regarding the events of September 11, 2001. It’s up to you to form your own opinion, to draw your own conclusions based on what’s provided: on one hand, the counter-investigation conducted by Jimmy Walter’s team, a group of fearless Americans; on the other hand, statements supporting the official narrative. The goal isn’t to indoctrinate you; it’s to offer elements for reflection. Proponents of the official story put forth arguments sometimes bordering on the ridiculous. For instance, one website claims, “Proof that a Boeing 757 hit the Pentagon is that the diameter of the hole in the facade matches the plane’s fuselage.” What’s deeply troubling is that the TV channel most actively promoting this campaign is the Franco-German channel ARTE, which, by revealing “everything about CIA wars,” tries to portray itself as courageous and unbiased journalism. Yet ARTE produced not one but two documentaries back-to-back in 2004. The first, a true disgrace for journalism, is titled “September 11 Didn’t Happen.” The second, from which one of my readers extracted footage demonstrating information manipulation, has a title I currently can’t recall. Presented by a German ARTE journalist, it was filmed in the U.S. In it, the very architect of the Twin Towers admits fault and explains why both giants collapsed just one hour after being struck by planes. “A design flaw,” he confesses, “which now keeps me awake at night.” Through analysis, I’ll demonstrate that his arguments hold no water. He attributes the collapse to the “buckling” of the buildings’ load-bearing structures—basically their outer shell, akin to a kind of “cage.” Astonishingly, the demonstration he offers, via a model he shows us, proves the exact opposite: under such circumstances, the towers could never have collapsed vertically; they would have tilted sideways (just like his model!). Moreover, why did Building No. 7—which wasn’t struck by any plane and suffered only a minor fire—also collapse vertically in a manner typical of “controlled demolitions,” despite having a completely different structural makeup? Note that the collapse of this building isn’t even mentioned in the final report of the official U.S. investigation!!!
It’s a monumental task to sort through all this material and produce shorter summaries (ARTE documents, covered by copyright, can’t be reproduced in full, though some have considered posting them on Emule). The American film “Painful Deception” lasts 2 hours and 40 minutes—quite lengthy. Yet I’ll do it, as it’s a true duty to inform the public, to expose ARTE’s outrageous disinformation tactics.
Considering that humans could conceivably commit what, should a real counter-investigation confirm already well-founded suspicions, would constitute the greatest crime in history—we’re entitled to ask whether such scenarios are plausible today, or if they’re merely paranoid fantasies, what we now call “conspiracy theories.” Sometimes I feel inclined to think:
- Be paranoid and you’ll still be underestimating reality.
Three thousand deaths on September 11. So what? The CIA killed ten times more people to provoke conflict with North Vietnam. If you’ve seen the two-part documentary (“The War of the CIA”) broadcast by “courageous” ARTE, you’ll hear one of the agency’s directors, indicted by a Jimmy Carter-appointed investigative committee, answering before a U.S. Senate panel:
- So, you admit that crimes were indeed committed in North Vietnamese territory by South Vietnamese operatives guided by CIA agents? - Yes. - And how many people were killed in these destabilization operations? - Twenty thousand...
Here we have admissions from someone who ordered such actions, always with presidential approval. Thus, 3,000 murders on September 11, 2001—why not?
Two hundred sailors endured a horrifying death in August 2000 during the Kursk sinking, sacrificed on the altar of state interests. More subtly, hundreds of French soldiers were irradiated due to the cynical indifference of military authorities under Defense Minister Messmer during campaigns in the Sahara and Mururoa. Recently, we heard about workers slowly dying from asbestos exposure; estimates suggest 100,000 victims overall. When these workers were exposed—for instance, while installing insulation inside ships at French shipyards—management knew full well how deadly this substance was. And what of tens of thousands of young Frenchmen killed in Algeria by bullets purchased by the FLN using funds supplied by the French government to prevent sabotage of the pipeline carrying Saharan gas to Bougie? Testimony of Delouvrier, General Delegate in Algeria under direct orders from de Gaulle, who confessed his guilt before passing away.
When it comes to atrocities, we have plenty to choose from on Earth. We could fill pages upon pages with examples; new ones keep emerging daily, endlessly.
Back to Rita. A tropical cyclone represents colossal energy. But so does the energy the Sun sends us: 1.5 kilowatts per square meter, joules and calories accumulating hour after hour. I’ve mentioned that reflecting this energy or conversely facilitating its absorption could theoretically create large pressure differences between two regions of the globe, potentially triggering a catastrophic storm. The farther apart these regions are and the longer the process takes, the more devastating the effect may be. I firmly believe that weather weapons could be infinitely more destructive than thermonuclear weapons, which pale in comparison.
Can humans, using purely earthly means, generate a cyclone, earthquake, or tsunami? No, given the sheer energies involved. But one can trigger a situation already ripe for such events. That’s my belief. I’ve explained how a powerful underwater thermonuclear blast off Sumatra’s coast might have served as a catalyst for a tsunami killing 275,000 people. This isn’t proven, but technically remains possible. In areas where enormous tensions accumulate, such as along the India-Pakistan border, an underground nuclear explosion could easily spark a disaster. (But where do Pakistanis conduct such tests, given they possess nuclear weapons and developed them via underground experiments, just like Israel?)
We probably can’t conjure a cyclone from scratch, but we can likely trigger it and definitely steer it. We all recall images of Cyclone Rita advancing toward the southern U.S. These weren’t the images a reader had emailed me. Other animations exist. Cyril Leblanc found others from a website:

(Richard Hoegland’s site)
We’re faced with something utterly strange west of the cyclone formation. In the animation, five parallel bands clearly appear in an otherwise homogeneous area. Weather satellites record across a broad range of wavelengths. In the two images below, the left one depicts infrared; thus, it seems artificial heating occurred at this spot. On the right (GEOS satellite), in visible light, there’s a gap in cloud cover—logical, since warm air absorbs more water vapor.

Given the perfectly regular pattern of these markings, which are highly unusual, we can’t rule out that they represent a localized pressure field tweak meant to give a slow-moving monster (15 km/h) a slight nudge. One could stimulate the ionosphere via microwave beams emitted from ships, submarines, or satellites, or reflected by ionized gas mirrors. See the file on weather weapons and their operating principles. After these formations appeared, Rita abruptly dropped from Category 4 to Category 3, veering north and sparing Galveston, Houston, and all nearby oil and petrochemical complexes.
A modest effort, but if initiated early, it could suffice to save Houston—which indeed happened.

Yet, also uncovered by Dezoëte, there’s something far stranger and even harder to comprehend. Infrared monitoring of the area on September 24, 2005 reveals two very pronounced thermal traces, which absolutely cannot be natural phenomena. So, traumatized by Katrina’s devastation, did Americans make every effort to control and weaken Rita?

Strange thermal formations appear around Cyclone Rita as it moves southward in the U.S.
Like in Ionesco’s “The Chandelier”:
- How bizarre, how strange, and what a coincidence!
October 23, 2005: The University of Wisconsin, tasked with analyzing satellite imagery, “provided an explanation” for the odd marks suddenly appearing in photos related to Cyclone Rita. According to them, these were “problems linked to the decoding algorithm used.” Note this: the disturbance marked by these “Bear Claws” also appears in visible-light recordings. To be followed.
October 16, 2005. September: hottest month in a century.
AFP, October 14, 2005 | 11:59 p.m.
September was the hottest month ever recorded on Earth since scientific temperature measurements began in 1880, announced Friday the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
The average temperature exceeded the norm by 0.63 degrees Celsius, per a statement posted on NOAA’s website. This made it the second-warmest September since 2003, when the average temperature was 0.57°C above normal.
In the U.S., September 2005 ranked only fourth warmest since 1880, with an average temperature 1.4°C higher than usual. Louisiana, struck by Hurricane Katrina on August 29, experienced its hottest September in 111 years; 27 other states also saw record-high averages that month.
On September 28, the U.S. National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) reported a sharp reduction in Arctic ice cover during summer 2005, marking the fourth consecutive year of decline—a trend attributed to global warming.
“Given this year’s record-low ice levels near the end of September, 2005 will almost certainly surpass 2002 as the year with the smallest Arctic ice extent in over a century,” declared NSIDC scientist Julienne Stroeve.
These observations and measurements rely on NASA satellites.
“At this rate, the Arctic will be ice-free during summers well before the end of this century,” she added.
The frozen area of the Arctic Ocean normally reaches its minimum in September, at summer’s end. On September 21, 2005, sea ice covered only 5.32 million km²—the lowest figure ever measured by satellites, scientists noted in a statement. “With four consecutive years of low Arctic ice extent, we can be fairly confident that a lasting melting trend is underway,” explained another NSIDC climatologist, Walt Meier. “This clearly indicates it’s not a short-term anomaly.” Incorporating September 2005 data, experts calculated that Arctic ice cover shrinks by roughly 8% per decade. They also observed that winter ice formation over the last four years fell by 20% compared to 1978–2000. This loss equals roughly 1.3 million km², equivalent to twice the size of France. Growing Arctic ice disappearance correlates with rising temperatures over recent decades, NSIDC emphasized. From January to August 2005, average surface temperatures in the Arctic were 2–3°C warmer than in previous decades. This summer, the legendary Northwest Passage through Canadian Arctic waters linking Europe and Asia proved fully navigable except for a 90-km stretch of floating ice. The Northeast Passage along Siberia’s northern coast likewise remained ice-free from August 15 to September 28, according to NSIDC researchers.
