A CNN journalist who was in his office at the Pentagon gives a live testimony.

On the morning of September 11th, there must have been many journalists in Washington ready to act very quickly. No one could have been better positioned than Jamie MacIntyre, whose office was located right inside the Pentagon. He was able to carefully examine the damaged facade and its immediate surroundings, then relayed the results of his observations to American viewers live on air.
This is a screenshot from a page of the Réseau Voltaire newspaper. It states that the CNN journalist provided his testimony for viewers after conducting “a meticulous visual inspection of the impact site” (to quote the Réseau Voltaire newspaper).
