In what follows, I will show that the construction of extermination centers, including gas chambers and crematory ovens, was not an improvisation by the Nazis, but made use of previous experiments, one of which took place south of Paris, in Issy-les-Moulineaux, in a shooting range initially built in 1938 for the training of French young police officers, and part of which was converted into a gas chamber.
I was a student at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l'Aéronautique de Paris, Supaéro, from 1959 to 1961. Students from various Grandes Ecoles received special treatment regarding military training. We had a "military office" at the school, run by Colonel Davy and Sergeant Béjot. Once a week, we had training sessions to which we were invited, wearing the heavy blue coats of second-class soldiers of the air force. At the end of this "training," we had the privilege of starting our 18-month military service as lieutenants, not as EOR (Reserve Officer Trainees). This training included shooting sessions held in a shooting range located in Issy-les-Moulineaux, now destroyed.
I clearly remember that one room of this range was lined with mesh, which held, pressed against the wall, thick asbestos plates, which made a fairly good acoustic insulation. According to photographs taken at the time of the liberation of Paris, this mesh was added later. A non-commissioned officer in charge of shooting explained to me that it was the traces of hands of people who had been gassed in this room and who had tried to climb the wall to escape the deadly gas.

It was possible for me, guided by the chief of the quarter, Oyarsabal, to see a gas chamber and a firing mound built to kill, Guynemer barracks, boulevard Victor, Balard square - Gestapo center 1940 to 1944 - Air Ministry Archives 1944.
I saw with my own eyes, on the site, the Ziklon B cartridges, incredible traces of hands on the interior lining installed to hold the screams of the dying. Wooden coffins outside, execution posts riddled at face level;
This gas chamber was adjacent to the covered building of the shooting range. It had a false chimney through which a Gestapo officer introduced the deadly gas cartridge. After the execution, fans emptied the gas outside.
After the bodies were placed in coffins, they were transported to other places of disappearance. At night, some of these victims, we don't know how many, were burned and thrown into the mouth of the Issy-les-Moulineaux thermal power plant, adjacent to the airfield - today Paris heliport -. No witnesses, the staff was invited to drink a hot drink, well away from this criminal operation and for the necessary time.
The crushed stone residues stored on peripheral sites were intended to make the base of the Boulevard des Maréchaux.
A dismal and magnificent cemetery to be in common with the most illustrious marshals of the empire. Counted and identified nowhere, how many are in this soil and elsewhere; many dead, how many.
It is up to the associations to verify these testimonies of crimes.
I have already told this to the deportees; despite two reminders, no answers.
Also recently to a Parisian official - ANACR - at the Congress of Nevers.
I am still waiting.
They, facing death, certainly did not think they would preserve the future of the living we are. Glory to the Immortal French Resistance. Memories and truths - verified, re-verified -.

To this is added my own testimony. I think that many former students at Supaéro at that time could confirm it.
The City of Paris published a book signed by Adam Rayski, titled "At the Shooting Range, the Massacre of the Resistance, Paris 1942 - 1944", prefaced by Bertrand Delanoë, mayor of the city.
It is mentioned there that this range was built in 1938 to allow the training of young police officers. It was built south of the Boulevard Victor, where the premises of the Ecole Supérieure de l'Aéronautique were located, in the 15th district of Paris, in the southwest of the capital. On August 31, 1944:
In fact, if we refer to the testimonies mentioned above, it was not to escape torturers that these men clung to the asbestos lining, but to flee the deadly Zyklon gas emanating from crystals poured out by false chimneys. Here is a photo of one of these walls with traces, taken in 1944.

Addition of October 16, 2007: For a Saint Thomas revisionist, who had sent me to Faurisson's sites, but this file has somewhat disturbed him.
This man, seeing these photos, wondered "why there were handprints, flat". He actually looked at these traces incorrectly. By digging into my memory, I only remember that everything was very visible. The holes were about 3 to 5 cm deep. When you try to plant your fingers in a substance like asbestos, quite soft, you will imprint the upper part with the traces of your fingers, as deeply as possible. But you will also leave the traces of your palms.

Yes, an innumerable number of men and women were gassed in this room, right in Paris, and these traces, at arm's length upwards, testify to their desperate efforts to escape the deadly gas. This is the only explanation for their existence. This gas chamber existed. All testimonies converge. This Issy-les-Moulineaux site functioned as a "mini " extermination center, with the necessary complicity of the local authorities who "looked the other way." Let us recall that all of this was in the middle of the city, not in a deserted countryside, far behind barbed wire. The same goes for the operation of the ovens. Regarding the use of the mouth of the Issy thermal power plant, &&& I am still waiting for old photos and possibly plans. We have testimonies from employees, who were kept away in their canteen during the cremation operations. But what about those who periodically cleaned these ovens, removing "crushed stone"? Did they not find bones, teeth, dental appliances in these debris?

A reader, Mr. Gabriel Mazlin, drew my attention to the existence of another center where people were exterminated by making them work, in conditions that can easily be imagined at the bottom of a mine, in Thil, where, like in Dora, they worked on the construction of V2 missiles. The Thil mine also had crematory ovens.

Following your article on gas chambers and crematory ovens in Paris, I am only half surprised... I think about the last witnesses, or keepers of some unverified rumors, and I understand all the difficulties they have in reconstructing the history...
For Struthof, it was impossible to bury the affair, there were too many living witnesses, I suppose. But for the other centers, some French people, after the departure of the Germans, deliberately wanted to erase the traces of such camps... For what reasons? I don't know...
In fact, everything seems to have gone as if the general idea was to say or make believe that there had never been extermination camps in France and to minimize the role of collaboration
... Not here! Move along, there's nothing to see...

Not far from there, in Aumetz, there is an abandoned iron mine that can be visited today. During the last complete visits of the mine, in view of its safety before being abandoned, the miners found in long-exploited galleries, parts of a V1 that was reconstructed and is currently displayed in one of the buildings to visit:
This is to say that there must have been other sites as sinister, where forced labor was concentrated here and there to run the factories, iron mines, coal mines and steel mills, but the traces have been erased and the witnesses have unfortunately disappeared... In the contrary case, an incomprehensible lead cover prevents it from being mentioned... Moreover, this is even not the work of our dear revisionists!

How many extermination sites, by work until exhaustion, in France. How many crematory ovens? Who will conduct this investigation, what "professional journalist" will go and stir this bloody mud?
On the left, the part of the range from which we practiced shooting, and on the right, the exterior of the building and its access, which I remember very well.
**The execution posts, at the time of their discovery in 1944, arranged along the length of the shooting range, as we used it (but the posts had been removed). **
Of course, many people were shot during the war, mainly at Mont Valérien. But the Issy shooting range also served as an experimental center, including the gassing of a hundred individuals at once, then the elimination of the bodies, in specially designed ovens or in those of the Issy thermal power plant, which still existed when I studied at Supaéro.
According to the testimonies attached here, including that of Roger Réant, the bodies were taken to the nearby thermal power plant and thrown into its coke mouths. To prevent the staff of the plant from witnessing this scene, they were asked to take a hot drink in the nearby canteen. According to another testimony, a verbal one, from a person who worked in this plant, when the Nazis made them leave their workstations to confine them in their canteen, the electric light dimmed, which indicated a drop in the plant's operation related to the opening of the ovens.
The Issy range was destroyed in the 1960s to allow the construction of another building, for military use. Requests to classify it as a historical monument were not followed. There remain these testimonies and ours, those of young students who experienced this prefiguration of the mass extermination centers.
In Paris, when you walk along the Boulevard des Maréchaux, know that an innumerable number of bodies lie beneath your feet, reduced to ash and crushed stone.
If the Nazis had had enough time in 1945:
