Mr. LOCCO: Saturday morning, the workers went down.

Mr. BAUDRY: You lied to us at the previous CHSCT meeting.

Mr. BONNET: It’s puzzling when you say, “We’ll take all the time needed to check everything.” You hadn’t given us such an answer before.

Mr. LAZAREWICZ: The request to conduct further inspections came from the DRIRE.

Mr. BONNET: Since Friday evening, only management has been in charge of the plant; they alone had access to the facilities. We demand that we be informed of the number of workers who descended from Friday evening until today, as well as their names. It’s unacceptable for some people to have control over the plant for five days straight. Every time a major incident occurred at the plant, both union representatives and CHSCT members were notified immediately. But this time, you deliberately failed to do so.

Mr. BAUDRY: Why wasn’t the CHSCT informed about the deterioration of equipment?

Mr. LAZAREWICZ: I informed the CHSCT Secretary about what happened on Friday, January 31st, regarding the machinery. On Saturday, we discovered the violations committed in the garage. Realizing the seriousness of these actions, we decided over the weekend to prevent anyone from descending into the plant starting Sunday night.

Mr. FILIPPI: You consider these acts to be very serious, yet you don’t inform anyone right away!

Mr. LAZAREWICZ: It’s the act itself that’s serious.

Mr. SASSI: Regarding the oil-related issues, we should have reacted quickly.

Mr. LAZAREWICZ: The damage was already done.

Mr. BAUDRY: We believe you concealed information from the CHSCT. Therefore, we request that you be charged with obstruction, based on the following grounds: “You concealed information related to serious incidents that occurred at the plant, and you saw no need to inform the CHSCT and union representatives.”

– The charge of obstruction was unanimously approved –

Mr. LAZAREWICZ: I remind you that operations have ceased. Our only goals now, given that the plant is shut down, are to maintain the main drainage system and to remove any substances deemed hazardous.
