Gas chambers and crematoria right in the heart of Paris during the war
October 11, 2007 – October 16, 2007
In what follows, I will show that the construction of extermination centers containing gas chambers and crematoria was not an improvisation by the Nazis, but rather built upon prior experiments. One such experiment took place south of Paris, in Issy-les-Moulineaux, at a shooting range originally built in 1938 for young French police officers; part of this range was converted into a gas chamber.

From 1959 to 1961, I was a student at the École Nationale Supérieure de l’Aéronautique in Paris, Supaéro. Students from various grandes écoles received special treatment regarding pre-military training. At our school there was a “military office” run by Colonel Davy and Sergeant Béjot. Once a week we attended training and exercises, wearing heavy navy-blue coats typical of second-class air force soldiers. Upon completion of this “training,” we had the privilege of beginning our 18-month military service as second lieutenants, rather than as EORs (Reserve Officer Cadets). This training included shooting exercises conducted at a range located in Issy-les-Moulineaux, which has since been destroyed.
I distinctly remember that one room at this range was lined with wire mesh, behind which thick asbestos panels were affixed to the walls—excellent sound insulation material. According to photographs taken at the liberation of Paris, this mesh was added later. A non-commissioned officer in charge of shooting explained to me that these were fingerprints left by people who had been gassed in that room and tried to climb up the wall to escape the lethal gas.
I mentioned this fact once on my website, and in December 2006 I received a message from someone named Maxime Beck. Here is his email and address:

Mr.,
I am conducting research on my grandfather Robert Beck, a Resistance fighter executed by the Nazis on February 6, 1943, at the Issy shooting range. You mention this site in a testimony I read. I am seeking proof that a gas chamber indeed existed at the range. I have already collected two testimonies; however, for some people this isn’t enough. I continue my research. Can you help me?
Thank you.

Second message:
Pierre Rebière, President of the Association of Sons of Executed and Massacred, told me about using slag as road base material—a horrible form of camouflage.
Copy of a reply from the Air Force Archives Service (no reliable documents available; most were destroyed at the start of WWII and when German troops withdrew).
Maxime Beck
Later, Maxime Beck sent me several documents. One comes from a certain Roger Réant:
Military Security Service – Testimony, August 1944, Paris, R-P – Volunteer, 117th Air Battalion
Guided by Sergeant Oyarsabal, I managed to see a gas chamber and a firing mound used for killing, at Guynemer Barracks on Boulevard Victor, Place Balard – Gestapo center 1940–1944 – Air Ministry Archives, 1944.
With my own eyes I saw Zyklon B cartridges, incredible handprints on interior surfaces meant to absorb the screams of dying victims. Outside, pine coffins, execution poles riddled with bullet holes at face level;
This gas chamber adjoined the covered shooting range building. It featured a fake chimney through which Gestapo agents inserted deadly gas cartridges. After executions, fans expelled the gas outside.
After being placed in coffins, bodies were transported elsewhere. At night, some of these victims—we don’t know how many—were burned and thrown into the furnace mouth of the Issy-les-Moulineaux thermal power plant adjacent to the airfield—today Paris’s heliport. No witnesses allowed; staff were invited to drink hot beverages far away from this criminal operation for as long as needed.
Slag stored on peripheral grounds was intended for use as road base on Boulevard des Maréchaux.
It is a sinister and majestic cemetery, shared with France’s greatest marshals. Never counted or identified, how many are buried here and elsewhere; so many dead, so very many.
It is up to associations to verify these crime testimonies.
I’ve already told this to former deportees; despite two follow-ups, no replies.
Recently, I spoke to a Parisian official—ANACR—at the Nevers Congress.
I’m still waiting.
They surely never imagined, facing death, that they’d preserve the future of us living people. Glory to the Resistance, immortal weapon of France. Memories and truths—verified, re-verified.
Roger Réant
Document sent to Charles Sylvestre, journalist at L’Humanité. January 2004
Second testimony:
Mr. Grégoire Maurice, 28, Rue de la Paix, 78500 Sartrouville
Testimony
I, Grégoire Maurice, volunteer since October 9, 1944, at the 117th Air Battalion on Boulevard Victor in Paris, hereby certify that upon arriving at the barracks I discovered with horror the locations where patriots were shot after their arrest.
Five execution sites were in the shooting range and four in the gas chamber (execution poles).
Traces of flesh and blood remained visible on the walls.
This testimony is written so that no one forgets this painful chapter of our history.
Done in Sartrouville, February 26, 2004.
Maurice Grégoire.
Third testimony:
To this I add my own testimony. I believe many former Supaéro students from that era could confirm it.
The City of Paris published a book authored by Adam Rayski titled “At the Shooting Range: The Massacre of Resistants, Paris 1942–1944”, prefaced by Mayor Bertrand Delanoë.
We learn that this range was built in 1938 for training young police officers. It is situated south of Boulevard Victor, where the Higher School of Aeronautics stood back then, in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, southwest of the capital. As of August 31, 1944:

Actually, according to the above testimonies, these men clutched at the asbestos coating not to escape torturers, but to flee lethal Zyklon gas released via fake chimneys. Here is a photo of such a wall with traces, taken in 1944.

.
Addition of October 16, 2007: To a revisionist “Saint Thomas” who directed me to Faurisson’s sites, but this file has somewhat confused him.
Upon seeing these photos, he wondered “why there are flat handprints.” In truth, he didn’t look closely enough. Digging through my memory, I recall all these traces were quite visible. The holes were 3–5 cm deep. When you try to press your fingers into soft asbestos, you leave imprints on its upper surface, deepest possible. But you also leave palm prints.

Explanation of handprint appearance on asbestos

Observe these “flat” handprints. At the top you see finger impressions.
All this has disappeared. No one saw fit to preserve this “historical monument,” under the pretext that visitors took pieces as souvenirs (as mentioned in the City of Paris book). This is completely false, since I myself saw these traces fifteen years later.
I personally saw these traces and testify to them.
Yes, countless men and women were gassed in this room, right in Paris; these arm-length handprints testify to their desperate attempts to escape the lethal gas. This is the sole explanation for their existence. This gas chamber did exist. All testimonies agree. This Issy-les-Moulineaux facility functioned as a “mini” extermination center, with necessary complicity from local authorities who “turned a blind eye.” Remember, this all happened in the middle of the city, not in remote countryside behind barbed-wire fences. Same goes for the crematoria operation. Regarding use of the Issy power plant furnaces, &&& I still await period photos and possibly blueprints. We have testimonies from workers kept away in their canteen during body cremation operations. But what of those periodically cleaning the furnaces, removing “slag”? Wasn’t bone, teeth, dental appliances found among the debris?
How many facts will never be known?
Reader Mr. Gabriel Mazlin drew my attention to another site where people were exterminated via forced labor under unimaginable conditions, in a mine at Thil; like at Dora, they built V2 rockets there. Thil mine also had its own crematoria.

Following your article on gas chambers and crematoria in Paris, I’m only half surprised... I think of the last witnesses, or keepers of unverified rumors, and I understand all difficulties they face reconstructing history...
At Struthof, it was impossible to bury the affair; too many living witnesses, I assume. But at other centers, some French people after Germans left deliberately erased traces of such camps... Why? I have no idea... Basically, the general idea seemed to be to claim or make others believe no extermination camps ever existed in France and to downplay collaboration... Nothing like that here! Move along, there’s nothing to see...
Here’s a link to a well-documented site proving in 1944 a labor extermination camp with crematoria existed in Lorraine at Thil near Longwy:
http://www.outoftime.de/thil/index.html
Not far away, in Aumetz there’s a disused iron mine open today for visits. During final inspections before closing, miners found parts of a V1 rocket in unused tunnels; it was reconstructed and now displayed in one of the buildings:
http://www.musee-minesdefer-lorraine.com/collection%20aumetz.htm
This shows there must have been other grim sites where forced laborers were gathered to operate factories, iron mines, coal mines, steel mills; traces have vanished and witnesses sadly perished... Otherwise an incomprehensible veil of silence prevents disclosure... And this isn’t even the doing of our dear revisionists!
| Best regards, Gabriel MARZLIN |

How many extermination sites existed in France, via forced labor till exhaustion? How many crematoria? Who will conduct this investigation, which “professional journalist” will stir up this bloody mud?

Left: part of the range where we practiced rifle shooting; right: exterior view and entrance, which I remember vividly.

Execution poles, discovered in 1944, arranged along the length of the shooting range as we used it (though poles had been removed).
Of course, many people were shot during the war, mainly at Mont Valérien. But the Issy range also served as an experimental center where a hundred individuals at a time were gassed, then disposed of in specially built furnaces or those of the nearby Issy thermal power plant, still operating when I studied at Supaéro.

According to attached testimonies, including Roger Réant’s, bodies were taken to the nearby power plant and tossed into its coke furnaces. To prevent staff from witnessing this, they were invited to drink hot beverages in the nearby canteen. Another oral testimony from a plant worker says that when Nazis ordered them to leave posts and stay in the canteen, lights dimmed—signifying reduced plant output due to furnace openings.
The Issy range was demolished in the 1960s to build another military structure. Requests to designate it a historical monument went unheeded. Only these testimonies remain, ours—those of young students who witnessed this precursor to massive extermination centers.
In Paris, when walking Boulevard des Maréchaux, know that countless bodies lie beneath your feet, turned to ash and slag.
Had the Nazis had sufficient time in 1945:
No traces of extermination camps would remain today, and we’d still be speculating whether such places actually existed.
January 1, 2013:
Reader Mr. Eric Costa found an English-language report on the Issy-les-Moulineaux installation. Its commentary may not be 100% accurate, but one sees execution poles riddled with bullets and blindfolds used on prisoners.

THE SHOAH BY BULLETS
January 15, 2009
References:
May 2007 issue of Historia
At a time when “fantasist” Dieudonné invites revisionist Faurisson onto his stage, it’s worthwhile to denounce such scandalous deviations. In its May 2007 edition, Historia shows that Jewish massacres in Europe were actually underestimated; it opens the case of the Shoah by bullets, especially in Ukraine, carried out by specialized units, resulting in two million deaths. But before delving into this, let’s ask the eternal question: why?
Genocides have always occurred and still occur in many countries. They all share the same pattern: total extermination of a community, a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group. This involves slaughtering entire populations—men, women, children, elders. Everyone knows of the Armenian and Rwandan genocides, etc. Less known, though, is that conquest of the Promised Land requires complete genocide of native peoples, a genocide “willed by God.” This is stated in the holy book, the Bible, specifically in Exodus, part of the Pentateuch, the Jewish Torah.
Let’s set the scene. When Moses receives orders from Yahweh to lead Hebrews from Egyptian bondage (according to scripture; no historical evidence confirms this), they wander the desert fed by “manna.” Then, when ready, led by warrior Joshua, Jews set out to conquer land promised to Abraham centuries earlier. History thus repeats itself. Abraham originated from Ur, eastern Mesopotamia. “God speaks to him in his head.” One day, with his kin and slaves, he journeys until reaching land God promises him and his descendants. Abraham is astonished, since this land is inhabited, but Yahweh tells him not to mind such details. Those who become “the Jewish people” thus first settle in Galilee. You’ll find this in Genesis.
Genesis 15:12: Know that your descendants will dwell in a land they won’t own... To your descendants I give this land, from the River Egypt to the great river Euphrates.
It’s interesting to see what “Greater Israel” means in this context, claimed by Zionists literally per biblical text:

Greater Israel, from the River Egypt to the Euphrates
Taking Yahweh’s words literally, this territory includes not just Sinai but eastern Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, part of Saudi Arabia, and half of Iraq.

Clarification: this Greater Israel was never historically possessed by successive kingdoms as described in biblical chronicles. The red zone above remains “a god’s project.” Yet a sizable portion of Israelis harbor this vision; it’s not limited to extremist fanatics.
Anyway, Hebrews finally commence conquering the Promised Land (Exodus 3:17 “I will lead you out of misery in Egypt to the land of Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivvites, and Jebusites, a land flowing with milk and honey.”)
Brief interlude: It’s worth listening to Pierre Jovanovic’s lecture, author of “The Universal Lie,” published by Jardin des Livres. We know the Flood appears in Sumerian epic Gilgamesh; this serves as confirmation of a Biblical text. In his book, Jovanovic makes a striking comparison between a well-known Sumerian text and suggests the Bible author simply plagiarized it to compose... Genesis.
